Review: [redacted] owner Ladco Designer Homes has taken 3 months since I signed a contract with him. He originally gave 2 weeks and then more time to match siding after I gave him the make and color used previously. He was given more time. It is now bad weather and it was to be done about 2 months ago. I paid $4080 all up front since he was available in 2 weeks. He will not call me back or answer my calls. I called and left messages 3x day every day this week with not one call back.Desired Settlement: I would like my money returned immediately.

Review: Complete lack of Communication. We signed with [redacted] in February of 2014. His Professionalism and interest in our Project was impressive and pricing was right in the middle compared to other quotes. As soon as we signed with Ladco, [redacted] (more or less) vanished and would rarely return emails or phone calls. Granted it was the middle of winter and the project could not be started, but we had several of things we wanted to go over with him. When you’re spending such a considerable amount of money, you expect a high level of participation from your contractor. When the weather finally broke we finally got a call that they’d be starting soon, but still several good opportunities past. We woke up one morning to the sound of car doors in our driveway and several gentlemen (including [redacted]) surveying our yard. Guess it was time to start? [redacted] asked for payment up front for nearly everything and we never hesitated. His crew where very professional and did outstanding work. They finished up in approx. 3 to 4 weeks and for the most part we were happy. We still owed [redacted] the final payment which was around 5% of the total. We asked to meet with him to go over some incomplete items that had been discussed. These items included a ceiling for the roof he put over our deck (to hide OSB and wires), outdoor electrical outlets, and an additional downspout as the current set up was not up to code. These were all items that had been discussed and agreed upon by Ladco. There were other minor things, but these were the most crucial. We didn’t hear from [redacted] for 6 weeks and when we finally did, he notified us that he would be over to pickup is final 5% payment. When he showed up to collect, we spoke briefly and told us he’d see what he could do and that “he wanted us to be happy.” We have not seen or heard from him since. We could have easily held final payment until the final tasks were complete, but opted for the more diplomatic route. Were it not for [redacted]’s outstanding/professional crew, this experience with Ladco would have been completely unsatisfactory. Had [redacted] been more willing to work with us he would have guaranteed further business as we have several more projects requiring his services. Our neighbors watched his guys work on our house for several weeks and they all wanted to know my recommendation. My response has been simple . . . Fantastic crew, very disappointing contractor. He performed 90% of what he said he would and if your fine with that, go with Ladco. I however, am not fine with 90% when I pay for 100%.Desired Settlement: We would simply like Ladco to finish the items they said they would which include a cieling for deck roof, outdoor electrical outlets, and an additional downspout in rear of house.

I had / have a horrifying experience with Ladco regarding a kitchen remodel. Nothing was completed when promised. The kitchen was not sealed off properly and the entire house was covered in gray dust / dirt. Construction debris (hunks of rock plaster, lath, dirt) was left in a closet under the stairs. There was no reason to do this as the wall was open. Self close drawers do NOT close and they have been worked on repeatedly. Cabinet end panels cracked and repair is visible. Ductwork servicing the second floor bedrooms was diverted to kitchen and now there is no heat on he second floor. Nothing was said about this. Outside deck is falling apart. The only thing good was brickwork completed by one of his workers (we had to move an external door).

This company is to be avoided. They don't finish jobs, ask for money upfront and then don't deliver, don't return calls.Ladco makes promises about job completion and ignores them.Very unprofessional..Our experience was very frustrating, costly, and would not advise anyone to utilize this outfit.
