My problem with Ladd Auto is why they were unable to diagnose why engine light was on. The engine light came on and I took my car 6 days after I first saw engine light. They did replace spark plugs and coil and when I picked up car on that Friday the engine light was off.  The following Monday engine light was back on. I did complain about paying approximately $24. 00 for each spark plug and the total bill was $280.00. The owner did refund me the total amount and placed the original parts back in the car. I had been taking the car to Ladd Auto for oil changes every 3,500 miles about 1 year before this engine light came on.

Ms. [redacted] needed repair on her car. It is a 2003 Honda civic with 174,665 miles on it. It was scanned and tested. Code was Ignition coil. We replace coil and spark plugs. Spark plugs were costly but they are the best on for a honda of that age and mileage. Customer complained and her money was...

refunded.

Review: February 22, 2014 Engine light came on in my 2003 Honda Civic. It was a Saturday and the light would come on and then go off. I looked in the Honda Manuel and from what I read I knew I needed to have it checked. I called Ladd Auto the following Monday or Tuesday and I was told they would check my car that Thursday. They kept the car all that day and I made several calls to them and Was told they were busy with inspections. They called me on that Friday and I did pick up the car that afternoon. They charged me $280.00 for 4 spark plugs and a coil. I was shocked at the charge. Several men looked at the bill and they said that was really high. They charged me $24 dollars for each spark plug. I complained about the charge and to make a long story short the owner gave me my $280 back and put original parts back in my car. I was so mad because on the following Monday engine light came back on. They did not diagnose what was wrong with my car. I had no intention of letting them looked at my car again so I was going to take my car to another repair shop. The light stayed on I continued to drive my car. I made an appointment with [redacted] for Monday March 17 at 8:00 AM. On Friday March 14 as I was driving to Grottoes I stopped at my Mother's house and I smelled a bad smell. I left the car a bit and when I came back it would not start. The car was towed to [redacted] Garage that evening and it stayed there 18 days. I called them many times asking about my car. I made all the calls and they never called me about the bad condition it was in. Finally I called them on February 20 and the mechanic, [redacted] told me I need a radiator and the charge would be $400.00. I thought okay if that would fix the problem then okay. There would more calls from me and finally when I picked up the car March 3rd the charge was $980.00. I was shocked because when I talked to [redacted] on February 20 the charge was $400.00 and when I picked up the car I owed $980.00. The engine light was still on and I continued to drive.Desired Settlement: Because of Ladd Auto and Truck Repair and [redacted] Auto I need a engine for my car. Neither of these two business did their job and they need to be punished. They lack of knowledge working with my car has caused a need for a engine. I wish I could talk to you because there is so much more to tell. Both of these business have no integrity. [redacted] told me car car was worth $250 but it was still trying to get for another $100 by putting fluid in the radiator. Please help me make them pay.
