Lady's Auto Sales Reviews (1)

[redacted] bought this vehicle on August 8, 2016 for $5,450 dollars.  after 2 plus months the motor went.  We as a company at Lady's Auto Sales replaced it free of charge.  Then shortly after she requested a catalytic converter replacement. We denied based off the...

following information I sent to her attorney that she works for, not hired.  I have cut and pasted that email for you to review. I have received your certified letter on behalf of [redacted].  Our company is very familiar with the laws required for Maine State Inspection. Please see the link below and refer to chapter 1622 section 170 under exhaust.  Definition of S. is stated on all Maine State Inspection posters which we pulled from and can not alter to create a list for customers to review.  This also has to be displayed at all inspection stations.  The definition of S. is for Cumberland County,  as they have emissions testing.  This is not required for Kennebec County.  That aside I stand behind the original diagnoses that our technician provided [redacted], as well as a conversation I had with [redacted] regarding [redacted]'s Concern.  [redacted] also shared the same information with [redacted] at the time but she seemed to have dismissed all of that.  Prior to [redacted] purchasing the car, she also took the vehicle to a [redacted] store, of which free of charge had a new car technician review the whole car for state inspection.  She then provided me with a copy of that technicians report (I am sure she still has her copy).  Nothing on that report refers to a concern of the catalytic converter. So with this, I would have to disagree with the statement made "The only logical conclusion that can be drawn from these facts is that the catalytic converter has been the cause of the check engine light all along". (end quote) The report did state other things that she wanted reviewed by another garage and her husband before purchase.  To conclude based off the information I have, her 30 days Items of Inspectability warranty has  expired, as well as this item NOT being an item of Inspectability we will not pay the asking amount. I will also provide you with the following name and number of the Maine [redacted] Inspection officer who is responsible for our region. [redacted]Thank You,[redacted] Take note that she had the car review and inspected at a new car store and they said nothing about that catalytic converter being bad at that time.  She then has tried to say that has always been bad and never should have been sold like that.  I 100% disagree with that and feel there is no bases for a complaint with the Revdex.com. Thank You,[redacted]V.P
