I again would like to apologize for the problems with your...

room when you arrived. I would also like to apologize that the front desk staff did not offer to move you to another room so that you would not of had to go to another location. I talked with [redacted] the lady that was working the evening you checked in at the Lafayette Hotel. I asked her why she did not move you to another room that evening. She told me that she did not have another room available of the room type that you had reserved. She said she didn't  think she was authorized to upgrade you to a larger room type that was available. I explained to her that she most certainly has my permission to upgrade a guest to larger room, especially when it involves complication with your original room. I explained that is our number one priority to provide a guest with a room that they can be comfortable in & get the rest that they have come to our hotel to enjoy. We have since then had a Front Desk meeting to review how to address this situation moving forward so a guest doesn't have to have the experience you had during your visit. That same day I contacted [redacted], as that is who we received your reservation though. I found that [redacted] is affiliated with them. I explained to him the complications you encountered here and asked them to issue a complete refund back to you. [redacted] told me I would need to send an email to [redacted] explaining the situation. He said I would need to specify in the email that the Lafayette would not bill [redacted] for the amount of the stay in order for a refund to be issued to the guest. I emailed them that same day (I have attached a copy for you record). I was told it would take approximately 3 to 4 days to issue the credit back to the guest. On July 27th I called [redacted] to check on the progress of the refund. I was transferred to the [redacted] line. I spoke with a lady named [redacted]. She told me that the refund was issued that morning. I have attempted to contact you a couple times to confirm that you have in fact received that refund. I left a voicemail each time but did not hear back from you to confirm. Please let me know if you did not receive that refund & I will contact them again until it is resolved. I have enclosed a check in the amount of $100.00 that hopefully will cover the cost of your stay at another location that night. I have also enclosed a gift certificate for one night for your next visit to Marietta. I hope that you will give us another opportunity to meet your expectations. Our goal is for you to have another opportunity to visit the Lafayette Hotel again so you may experience the service standards we strive to give our guest.

Review: On June 6th 2015 I was over joyed that it was my wedding day. The night before I had parked my vehicle in Lafayette Hotels Valet in front of the hotel and was told my car would be parked in there lot. When my car was pulled from the lot due to me having to head out to get hair and makeup done the Valet attendant told us that someone had tried breaking into my car to try and go for a joy ride. My car was tore up. I took pictures for the hotel and sent them over to there head of security. I was then told not to worry that Mike V[redacted] the owner was a great man and would take care of all of the damages to call him on monday and we could sort it out. My parking was also suppose to be taken off my bill but was not until I had to call spoke with a karen and had to complain about it. I then called on monday as I was instructed to. I was then told to call back in a hour, I did still nothing. I contacted them every hour until finally at 2:30 they told me to run it through my insurance company. In which I did. I then 2 days later recieved a email stating I needed to get two estimates, I thought for what? You will get the estimate from my insurance. Then a week had past when I recieve a email from the owner. stated he would pay the damage cost, even spoke with him on the phone.Called my insurance today to find out he is now refusing to pay for the damages. Now I am out of my 500.00 that was for my deducable.Desired Settlement: I want my insurance to receive a statement saying they will pay for damages including my deductable. As well as my entire hotel stay 365.00 refunded back to me for having to deal with missing work, and also for the aggrivation of not having my money I received as wedding money for my honeymoon returned. Plus a full apology From MIKE V[redacted] ###-###-####. Also fax my insurance a statement saying he will pay for the damages

Review: I stayed at the Lafayette hotel during Mardi Gras. I went to bed early but had forgotten my key. I got a new key from the desk and told them my brother would be coming in later. When my brother arrived they gave him a really hard time and were very rude to him. He questioned for a manager and was immediately kicked out. I was never called until he was asked to leave the building. I ended up having to leave and get another hotel room. I have tried to contact the management several times with no response.Desired Settlement: Give me my money back

for a refund. Accommodations were provided as contracted, accurate payment was received.

There is no basis for refund.

New Orleans Police were called to address unruly guests and responses from Mr. [redacted]’ room.

New Orleans Police evicted the guests. Mr. [redacted] has not contacted us regarding this matter.
