My name is [redacted] Office Manager for Laguna SmilesWe received a complaint from Revdex.com for our patient [redacted] She was scheduled for a consultation for InvisalignDr [redacted] did a visual exam for herI then presented the treatment planShe asked about our payment planGave her several optionsCarecredit approved her and was given an account numberI verified ID'sShe signed all consent forms to start the invisalign recordsShe was upset couple days after wanting to cancel her treatmentHowever she did sign a consent form stating that there is no REFUNDS once we start the invisalign recordsShe did receive phone calls to schedule her appointment to receive her alignersHer invisaling aligners are hereThe day she was here with other people she insulted me and called me numeous of bad wordsShe used foul language towards meI showed her, her invisalign box and told her that all she needs to do is schedule an appointment with Dr [redacted] She refused and called me a liarShe said she was going to call the policeAnd that we stole her moneyShe tried to cancel her treatment days after, and we do not give any refundsThat is why we have them read and sign consent formsShe even signed the transactions slip with the amount of $If you have any questions please feel free to call me or email meThank you

I am rejecting this response because:I NEVER said the numbness on the tongue has subsidedI deal with this every day, and prior to the numbness I was going to the office to deal with pain after the tooth extraction that was removed in a most painful matter! Yanking on my tooth for so long, instead of sending me with a referral to the oral surgeonThis was done, primarily so the office could charge my insurance for the extractionThey both charged myself as a cash patient and charged my insurance for the same extraction procedureThey told me that the procedure wasn't covered on under my insurance, as I had exceeded the amount for the year, then come to find out my insurance was indeed charged for the same procedureThey did give me a refund, but it was only after I did some research and complained that I wanted my money back.As far as the free Sonicare toothbrush, it was never mentioned that it was one per family...they have continuously told us that the toothbrushes are on back orderHave never said it was one per family, and if that is the case, Jose is not my husband, he is my partner, but we aren't marriedSo this would not fall under the "one per family" as they are currently speaking of.This business is very shadyThere have been so many complaints on YELP, and I can now see whyI had a $1,coupon off the *** treatment, so I don't understand why I am paying an additional $when they have overcharged and used up my lifetime ortho treatment.Again, I would like my $cash I paid for the *** treatment, which my insurance said they could have covered the whole amount, but they overcharged more than any other ortho office in our areaSo the other route would be, me providing the $1,off *** and get my $back from that coupon, which I have with me.They also have my *** treatment in their officeI would like to pick it up and find my own ortho office to go toThey need to reimburse my insurance the monthly treatment visits, etcas I will not be going back to themTHey can keep the money they charged the insurance for the product, but I will not be following up with their office for the checkupsThey need to credit for the checkups, so that I can seek another ortho office to assist me with check ups on the Invisalign.Please Advise, as I do not want to take this to small claims, but I am really on the verge of doing soThe whole experience with them has been quite frustrating to say the least! I will have to live with the numbness on my left cheek and tongue more than likely for the rest of my life! That alone is the worst part of this whole experience!I've attached poor reviews from this office, people that are experiencing the same issues I amThe only good reviews they have on YELP are from other people of Dr*** culture and family friendsThis place is a scam on your insuranceThey never let you know how much they are charging you for servicesI did deep cleanings and fillings and I was maxed out on my *** Dental PPO...I called *** and they even told me that this office is way over charging me on these procedures!***

Ms*** presented to Laguna Smiles on 10/09/for
a full mouth dental examFull mouth xrays were conducted and comprehensive treatment plan was discussed with the patientA treatment that included a few fillings, deep cleaning and *** treatment was discussed with the patientMs*** elected to do half of her deep cleaning on the 10/09/2017and returned back for the other half to be done 11/09/On November 9th, patient also elected to do some fillings and start her *** treatmentMs*** called on November 20th, for an emergency appointment due to a wisdom tooth in painPt was scheduled the same day to remove the wisdom tooth11/27/2017, a post op check was conducted and patient reported slight soreness on her tongueOn November the 30th, patient was seen at the office for delivery of her Invislaign alignersOn December the 13th patient came in regarding concern of some numbness on her tongueUpon evaluation we did ask the patient when did she first start to notice that her tongue was still numbAfter mapping the tongue for numbness, a referral to the Oral Surgeon was conducted although it was explained to the patient that it will most likely subsideIt is part of usual procedure for the doctor to review risks and benefits of all treatment prior to being conductedAlso all consent forms are available for reviewAs of February 21st, 2018, pt’s last visit the numbness of the tongue is no longer an issue and it has returned to normalThe patient had a coupon for a toothbrush and we honored that, it does have restrictions and one per family is the restrictionWe regret that Ms*** feels overchargedIf she can present her insurance explanation of benefits and show that she has been overcharged we will be delighted to inquire furtherPlease find the attached documentation, treatment plans and consents for all treatmentIf you any more questions please feel free to reach us at 916-691-1650/[email protected]

She did receive phone calls to schedule her appointment to receive her aligners. Her invisaling aligners are here. The day she was here with 2 other people she insulted me and called me numeous of bad words. She used foul language towards me. I showed her, her invisalign box and told her that all she needs to do is schedule an appointment with Dr [redacted]. She refused and called me a liar. She said she was going to call the police. And that we stole her money. She tried to cancel her treatment 2 days after, and we do not give any refunds. That is why we have them read and sign consent forms.
