Laha's Appliance Repair did a great job with my washer. They were prompt and friendly. The Tech was very Knowledgeable of my washer. When he left , no mess or clean up by me. All was clean and in place. I would recommend this company to anybody that needs a repair on an appliance. Local in Pittsboro, NC.

LaHa's Appliance Repair is by far the WORST that I have dealt with for repairs. This company is used with our warranty company. A technician was sent out to our home and diagnosed the problem and left ordering parts and rescheduling to come back. We were initially told 7-10 days, which the turn around time was a lot sooner. When he came yesterday with the help of another technician, the two attempted to the fix the repair, only to find out that another part was needed. Which was the root of the problem the reason the warranty company was called. The office manager proceeded to say when I called to let her know that that was the reason for the call to the warranty company, and that it was shared with the technician during the initial visit. She proceeds to say that the technician would not bring a part if it did not test negative. When in fact if it was tested, he would have known then. It wasn't done! When I called today to let them know that the technicians' scuffed up my wall above the washer machine, the officer manager connected me to someone without saying that she was doing so. When Andy the owner, I let him know that I could barely hear him, he very rudely said "OK" and did not make it where I could hear him, so when I let him know that I could barely hear him again, he RUDELY said "Well, I'm talking in the phone". I told him that he did not have to get smart bc I was only letting him know that I could barely here him, he hung up on me! Not one time but twice. He said I don't have to identify myself... which I never asked him to. I told him that I did not know I was being transferred to anyone and that I could barely here him. When I proceeded to tell him that the technicians scuffed up my wall, he RUDELY says... So you say... take a picture and send it to me and I will determined if the technician did it or not. No email address or anything was provided. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL! I don't want him or any of his technicians to step foot in my house ever again. If you see the name keep scrolling. On Revdex.com they have the audacity to have an A+, but the majority of these reviews are negative and pretty consistent about how RUDE the owner is. Andy is who he said when he came to the phone. I can care less who he is... he does not need to deal with the people. RUDENESS is what his name should be!

Agreed! He is an immoral and terrible businessman and human being. He is a thief who has stolen parts from my home warranty company that were supposed to come to me to fix my dishwasher, not once but twice, and now he refused to return any of my calls to complete the job.

I have had the most pleasant experience with Laha's appliance. Andy Laha is incredibly responsive, and the technician he sent to my home was polite, knowledgeable, patient and thorough. There aren't many repair companies in the area who will work on Electrolux appliances, and even though my appliance's issue was a tricky one, they helped me make sure it all went smoothly. Top-notch service. Reputable company. I will definitely call them again if I run into other issues.

vendor, failed to properly diagnose and fix appliance on 1st and second visit resulting in damage to home requiring additonal repairLaha appliance was assigned to repair dishwasher as the vendor of choice by [redacted]. Improperly diagnosed problem on first visit delaying repair by a week. on second visit replaced parts which did not repair the problem. Attempted to shift responsibility for issue by claiming the appliance was not broken. 2nd vendor confirmed the appliance was broken. Laha would not answer phone or return phone calls. appliance repair was delayed multiple weeks resulting in extensive damage to floor due to overflow (appliance is a dishwasher) when finally reached vendor claimed that they had refused to continue to attempt repair. when asked about repairs to floor refused to take responsibility.Desired SettlementRepair of damage to floor and repair or replacement of dishwasher.Business Response the original complaint was dishwasher not draining. We informed home owner it was a plumbing issue. he then called a week later claiming he himself repaired the plumbing issue and it still wouldn't drain. We came back and discovered a "diy" repair that still did not meet code for air gap. we secured the drain line above 32" as a courtesy and replaced a part that the unit was giving am error code for. we again told the home owner and and AHS it is a plumbing issue (slow drain line) we then got another call claiming plumber took care of slow line but, unit is still not draining. we transferred this call due to the fact there is not anything wrong with it. we then received a call from homeowners wife stating the unit (while not in use) flooded the kitchen. I told her to turn breaker off call a plumber it is backing in through the drain line. I then received a call stating the unit has flooded the kitchen several times since and wanted me to fix floors. 1. the issue was never overflow it was not draining. 2. we were not the last vendors to put hands on unit as stated by homeowner. it never flooded til another vendor got involved. we are not responsible for this damageConsumer Response I need to clarify. The dishwasher is about 4 years old and the drain has not been touched since it was installed and until now the dishwasher has never failed to drain. I adjusted the drain line as instructed by Mr. Laha (32" above floor). The first flooding occurred within an hour of Laha's appliance visit to install the part. Mr. Laha refuses to respond unless told to do so by the warranty company. after the first flooding mr. laha transferred the problem back to [redacted] shield stating it was a plumbing problem. The warranty company sent a plumber. He inspected Laha's change and determined it was not correct BUT it was not causing the problem with the dishwasher and never had been. A drain and trap can hold (maybe) 2 quarts of water. My wife mopped up in excess of 2 BUCKETS of water (approximately 4 gallons). At this point It appeared that the valve controlling the water intake had been only partially operating until the part replacement. at this point it failed even more causing the flooding (conjecture on my point but seems a reasonable explanation) Had Mr. Laha responded to those calls for help he could have made a proper diagnosis and repaired the problem or (at worst) disconnected the dishwasher pending replacement. This would have prevented further damage to floor and cabinets.

Laha Appliances has just repaired my Microwave for me. I am very satisfied with their work. Arrived on time, had to order a part, the tech came back to replace the part when he said they would. I would call them again if needed.","pos-2

I cannot under any circumstances recommend this service company. They were assigned to me by my home warranty company. Normally I receive a call from the assigned company within a few hours, 2-4, say. Laha didn't call until close to 8 hours after I put in my call, and not until almost 2 hours after the warranty company called them back after I complained that we had never heard from Laha's. When the tech appeared at my house, things seemed okay and we were told parts needed to be ordered. Fast forward over a week. Mr. Laha himself calls at 7a.m. to say someone will be at my place in three hours. A slight scramble follows to make sure someone will be home on such short notice. Tech guy comes. He replaces one part, a master board, that he never diagnosed as being broken and that had, in fact, been replaced two months before. The part that was originally diagnosed as the problem and had to be ordered? It turned out the tech had brought the wrong part with him. Now, I'm sure wrong parts come in all the time, but surely they checked it against the work order? Anyway, tech guy shrugs his shoulders, says a call will come when the right part is ordered and leaves just as the fridge starts making an appalling noise. We chase tech guy out and ask him to come back in and see what the sound was. He not only didn't fix the fridge, he broke it? He comes back, doesn't fix the problem, and then leaves. When called and asked to come back to the house and at least stop the horrible noise that is so loud it is interfering with doing business over Skype, he says he can't. He's moved on. Maybe he can come back at some other time. We get a little testy now. Call [redacted] and Mr. Laha. Mr. Laha diagnoses the problem: we are rude, mistakes are sometimes made with ordering parts (then he names the wrong part as the one that needs replacing), then he suggests that the real problem is that we're being jerks because the first check we paid him with did not go through because the account was closed. Now, it is perfectly true that the first check I gave Mr. Laha could not be cashed. I mistakenly picked up an old check book and pulled the check from it. Mr. Laha did not inform me of this until his 7 a.m. wake-up-we'll-be-over-soon call, but as soon as Mr. Laha apprised me of the situation, I went and got cash to pay him and, of course, included a returned check fee (kind of bogus, but never mind). Then 3 hours later, his tech guy appeared, replaced a part that didn't need replacing, couldn't put in part that he had said was broken on the first visit, because it was the wrong part, and left the refrigerator rattling and buzzing loudly. This isn't a horror story or anything, but I see from these reviews that there is a long pattern of disregard for clients, carelessness, dishonesty, poor time management. Plus, he's a much bigger jerk than I am. Don't let him break your appliances!","neg-3

This is the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. First of all, they came to my house & stated that I needed an compressor because there is a non-stop very loud noise coming from it. When they left my house they stated that they would be ordering the part & it would take 7-10 business days. I never heard from them & when I contacted them, I was rudely informed by [redacted] that I did not pay a service fee & they did not owe me anything. I as under the impression that you get paid for service that is rendered & it DEFINITELY WAS NOT!! WARNING.....DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE EVER!!!!!","neg-2

Laha's was selected to repair our refrigerator/freezer by our warranty company. It was determined to be the control panel and door hinge. He sent a person over to install it. This is a built in appliance, meaning the workings are above the unit, not in the back with a conventional appliance. The repair person tried to pull the several ton refrigerator out, until we pointed out the workings were on top not in the back. Duh! Anyway it was installed and did not correct the problem. We called Mr. Lahas to inform him it wasn't working which he already knew and he said he would send someone over on Monday to see what the problem was. This is now 2 weeks later and we have heard not a word from him. In the meantime we called another repair company and they fixed it in 10 minutes. The hinge has not been repaired but the warranty company has found someone else to finish the job. We paid Mr. Laha and have not gotten the problem fixed by him.","neg-6

When I think of Laha Appliance Repair NC, I wish I could also say I would think of attributes such as solid integrity, customer centricities, and reliability. Sadly, in my experiences these elements were nonexistent and nowhere to be found....
I would like to share my awful experience with [redacted] and his company. First allow me to shed some light on the unfortunate circumstance that allowed our paths to cross. I have been battling my home warranty agency regarding an appliance in my home. This appliance is absolutely critical for day to day activities. Previous to [redacted] I had multiple other contractors come into my home to determine the reasons as to why this appliance was malfunctioning over a process of months. I had conversations with his service person who ensured me that typically they are the last ones that the home warranty agency calls on. Feeling confident in their competence level, I made the fatal mistake of starting the process of working with them.
At this point in time, I would have been without said appliance for months. Putting aside my frustrations with my home warranty agency, I moved forward to what would turn out to be a two-month additional process.
During this process, multiple visits where made and scheduled to visit the appliance in question, parts were ordered and things were looking great.... There were some delays in parts arriving, which I understand is out of [redacted]'s control. (even though they advertise a million parts in stock, guess they didn't have this one...) After the part was installed the appliance still was malfunctioning, at this point the only options would be to replace the unit or have my warranty agency send someone else out for repair... Frustrated I called [redacted] who ensured me that all I had to do was provide a new work order for him and he would then inform my warranty agency that my appliance was a lost cause... Fast forward two days (since that is the time required in the twentieth century to make a phone call), my agency informs me that what was reported from the field was that in fact it COULD be repaired and that [redacted]'s suggestion was to send someone else out... This was the point where [redacted] lost all his integrity and passion to take care of a customer.
I highly urge you that if you're looking for an appliance repair company in the triangle area and or in the Raleigh area, to stay clear from this outfit. There many other individuals who will treat your circumstance and issues as if they were there own. Remember look for someone with integrity and will and want to help you better your circumstance, not one simply looking for low hanging fruit...","neg-1

I am disgusted by my experience with Laha's Appliance Repair. [redacted] Laha took a service fee from me and refused to provide the service, dragging out follow up appointments for weeks and then cancelling them altogether. I wonderis this his MO as a service provider for [redacted] It's certainly a way to make money without actually completing the work. My appliances are still broken and he's holding on to my cash.
Laha's Appliance Repair will never have my business again, and doesn't deserve yours.","neg-4

I chose Laha Appliance Repair over other providers because they showed an ability to get to my small repair faster than others. What I was unawareof was the desire they had to not actually serve me. Yes, I use a home warranty company. I asked for my provider to dispatch Laha, and they did. Laha showed up in 5 days to look at an over-the-range microwave. First, they make sure they get their $75 trip fee. Then they announce they will have to go order parts, probably 3-5 business days.
In 2 weeks I hadn't heard anything at all, no status update, no word from Laha Appliance Repair at all. I contacted my warranty company and they asked me to contact the provider and determine the status. I called, but had to leave a voice mail so I emailed Mr. [redacted] Laha. Mr. Laha responded with a VERY rude, very curt email indicating that "when they get the parts, they will schedule the return visit."
I spent the next month (yes, really) workig with the warranty company to get the proper part to fix my $650 OTR Samsung microwave. Ridiculous. Several times, the warranty company tried to contact Laha to aid this process, every time they refused.
Today, 8 weeks and a day since requesting them to come look at the microwave, they finally showed up to repair it. They have had parts for 9 days (confirmed with warranty company).
Stay away, do anything you can to change providers or service people,as Mr. Laha and his tech are rude, inept and incapable of showing any customer service ethics whatsoever.","neg-5

I called Laha's Appliance Repair after having issues with my [redacted] Refrigerator. They had a tech at my house the next day. He arrived on time, was professional and quickly diagnosed the issue. I was informed that parts were going to be ordered to complete the repair. One of the parts that needed to be ordered was on back-order (this refrigerator is actually made by [redacted] and my understanding is that back-ordered parts are a recurring issue with the manufacturer) . When the back-ordered part arrived, it was damaged and another was ordered. While waiting for the part, if I called I received regular updates on when my part was expected to be there and was told that I would get a call as soon as the part came in and have an appointment scheduled. As soon as it arrived, I received a call and was scheduled the next day for the repair to be completed. I was completely satisfied with my experience and would definitely use Laha's again and recommend them to friends!","pos-1
