I ordered hair from Laialux Hair on (Aug 30 2019 ($342)) including delivery within Toronto
Their website said deliveries made within Canada would take 2-3 business days to process and 24 hours for delivery
I specifically ordered from this company because of the delivery timefframe and sale price
I emailed Sept 2 2019 asking for update on shipping/tracking number
I got a response the same day asking for my oder number which was already included in my email at the top and in the subject field
5 days later Sept 7th no response, I sent "..." email
On the 8th I politely sent another explaining that ive sent my order number and asking again for tracking number
No response until sept 20th when I got a general shipping tracking email saying that my items would be delivered in 24 hours which I did
I recieved a bill from *** on oct 2nd for about $18 which I thought was jjust rubbing salt in the wound from taking so long to deliver and not even having the decency to respond to my emails
So I took a picture of the bill and emailed it to the company explaining that I had already paid for shipping to and from canada
tTey responded on Oct 2nd saying..
"Hi, we get the same mail its paid through business for *** We will look into it. Please dont worry about paying anything additional from what youve paid for "
I responded with only "Thank you"
Sept 14th I receive a "payment reminder from ***
Forworded that invoice as well, no response
Final notice from Fedex some time after
and today I receive a demand for payment from collection agency
which will now affect my credit
Billing Adjustment I WOULD LIKE THE 18 BILL PAID BY THE COMPANY THAT ISSUE TAKEN OFF MY CREDIT REPORT
Payment has been handled on business end with confirmation number: XXXXXXXX - Paid to *** with the amount $17.15.
For future reference- ordering online and paying for shipping does not include duty fees charged by the shipping company. *** is a company on its own and will charge duties on their own.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
"For future reference"...you should make it aware on your website that your products are coming from *** and not from Toronto, Canada and as such Duty Fees may be imposed.
