Review: We hired this company to do some remodeling in our master bedroom and bathroom. He showed up to do and the estimate and agreed on a price with my husband and signed a contractors invoice to confirm it. He showed up the next day to work for a few hours and informed us that he needed seventy-five dollars more for nails for his gun to put up trim because his gun took special nails. He also insisted on being paid in cash. I went to the bank and withdrew the money. After I paid him he worked a little longer then said he would be back the next day a 9 am. My mother waited to let him in and he never showed up or called until my husband hunted him down. He finally showed up around 1:45 pm and worked for a little bit then left. Every time he says he will be here he never shows up and only calls when my husband tracks him down. My husband gave him another seventy dollars to pick up supplies to which he was supposed to drop off but we have yet to see them. We also gave him a deadline to have it completed by and he said no problem and then never came back. When my husband got finally a hold of him he said he hurt his hand and could not work for a few weeks which would go past his deadline. When he finally showed up this week my brother-in-law had done most of the job and we told him to take his tools and we wanted our money back. He then told us he couldn't because he was broke. He told my mother when he started the job, he refunds his customers if they are not satisfied. Clearly we are not satisfied since the job was never done.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund of $400.00 since we gave him $595.00 and he didn't do much work and never purchased the supplies or nails. Also, since we paid him in cash a cash refund would be preferred since we do not know if we can trust a check from him at this point.
