Lake Anna Market Reviews (2)

Dear Sir/Madam:

arial, sans-serif;">The customer who filed the complaint is wrong as she herself admitted and acknowledged in her account of what transpired on 5/14/14. She complained that she was charged for gas which she did not receive. However, we have a receipt and data from the gas pump which clearly shows that gas was pumped into her car. Furthermore, the customer admits and acknowledges in her account that she did, in fact, receive the gas she pumped into her car. Her gas gauge was not working properly and she admits "My car DID mess up and I will not deny that and I do regret calling the police."

It goes without saying that an individual can clearly tell whether gas is actually being pumped into one's car or not as he/she is pumping gas. It is simply common sense and an individual can feel pressure on the gas pump. How could the customer claim that she could not tell whether gas was pumped into her car?!... It just doesn't make sense.

She was the one who caused a huge commotion in our place of business as it turns out for nothing. We engaged her in a professional manner and she was the one who called the police as it turns out for nothing. She even admits that she regrets calling the police as the above-referenced quote from her account recites. We feel we handled ourselves in a professional manner and we have witnesses who can attest to the unreasonable manner in which the customer behaved. Accordingly, we feel justified about the manner in which we dealt with the customer.

Review: I am currently living with my family in [redacted] to work over the summer. I had to pick my cousin up from his High School so I stopped by the Lake Anna Market on [redacted] in [redacted] on 5/14/14 to get $16.00 worth of gas. My gas gauge was still low, but I now know that my gas gauge is broken. But, I went back into the store thinking that the gas didn't go through and was trying to get information or just maybe check the pump to see if it was not working, no one wanted to help me (there were 3 people working the register) and the older woman working in the store said to me in these exact words, "It's your problem now." Keep in mind that she can speak very good English. I was very distraught by the customer service in there and decided to call the police because I was not sure if I was being fraudulently charged because no one checked to see if the gas was actually running through the pump. The police said they could do nothing. I'm pretty sure he could have checked if the gas was running correctly if I put more money into it. But, he never did. He also told me when he came out of the store that the other people that were working said that the older woman could not speak very good English. But in fact she had the knowledge to tell me that it was my problem now. My car DID mess up and I will not deny that and I do regret calling the police, I just didn't know what to do about my gas gauge. They did not give me many options to help me resolve the issue. I'm never the one to really complain when people have bad customer service skills because I recognize that people do have bad days, etc., but the way she talked to me was very bitter. It was very unprofessional and something definitely needs to be done about it. I will NEVER return to that gas station again. Not because of my car messing up, but solely based on the customer service and how she talked to me.Desired Settlement: They should have checked to see if the gas pump was working correctly because it is their job to check to see if it is actually working for business. Also, the woman's attitude should have more respectful because I was talking in a calm voice and wanting help.
