I spoke with Mr*** by phone and advised him that the Finance Officer, *** *** that he referred to in his complaint was no longer with the company and that this was the first that I had heard about his complaintAfter some discussion we agreed to refund the full amount of $3,
that he requestedWe requested that he complete a refund request for the warranty company and return it to us, which he didWe have forwarded that request to the warranty company and when we receive the funds from them we will send a check to Mr***’s lienholder so that it will be applied to the balance he owes on his truckHe told me that this would resolve the issue with himI will advise you and Mr*** when we mail the checkIf you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me

Mr*** had his vehicle dropped off on 9-5-for an appointment to have his truck diagnosed. Somehow, we did not show that appointment in our schedule system. We did get his appointment rescheduled for 9-19-17. Our service manager (Ed B***), did speak with Mr*** on 9-11-17,
and agreed to inspect & diagnose his vehicle by the next day. It was determined he was in need of a new engine. The vehicles current mileage is 266,671. Unfortunately due to work load in the service department this vehicle was not immediately diagnosed, however, when concern was noted the dealership attempted to accommodate the customer quickly. We did do the inspection and diagnosis at no charge to Mr***. The vehicle is still currently at Parker Ford. MrBaker & Mr*** have been in contact and are discussing repair options

In regards to complaint ID number [redacted]…It is correct that [redacted] purchased 2 cars as stated.  Unfortunately, we are not able to have credit inquires removed from a credit report unless we ran the credit report in error.  On neither occasion was her credit ran in...

error.  We have a signed credit application giving us authorization not only to run it through our company ([redacted]) but also the lenders that we do business with.  If needed we would be happy to provide [redacted] with a copy of those signed credit applications.Thank you,Troy D[redacted]General ManagerParker Ford

Review: Dear Sir’s or Ma’am,

I purchased a 2003 Ford F250 VIN [redacted] at [redacted] Ford on May 17, 2014 with Spokane Teachers Credit Union (STCU) $33,101.60 at 17.09 % financing. I regret trading in my 2002 Mustang convertible because they said it was worth 2,500 on trade. They sold it to the detailer for a lot more than that.

When the F250 broke down in Sioux Falls in July, 2014, [redacted] at the time was the Finance Officer with [redacted] Ford, He said it would be covered by the Optional Extended Service Contract.

Neither [redacted] nor [redacted] Lake City Ford could give me any information about my “Optional Extended Service Contract**”

This Ford dealership had failed to provide me with one shred of information about the Extended Service Contract. I told the dealer I wanted to cancel the service contract and they said it was expired. I was not treated well by this dealership and could not consider recommending them to prospective buyers. (Buyer beware, [redacted] Lake City Ford received $3,788.00 plus 17.09 % this is a classic scam act and an act of fraud intended to enrich the dealer and seriously violate the consumer.)

In July 2014 I hired Sioux Falls Ford to replace the ICP sensor for a total of $800.00

The vehicle sat broke down from January until April 2015. I hired Diesel Specialties Inc. to replace the eight fuel injectors, one glow plug, and one EGR valve for a total of $3,700.00

Staying on course, I began studying and am doing well at National American University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I am studying for a B.S. in Criminal Justice. My academic goal is to study for a Juris Doctor Degree at The University of South Dakota School of Law in Vermillion beginning in the spring of 2018. I really do need to sell this vehicle as soon as possible. I do not want to ruin my credit over this bad car loan. What can I do to save my credit? Where are the checks and balances?

I am now asking The Revdex.com in Spokane, Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) in Boise, Idaho and Lexington Law Firm in Salt Lake City, Utah to please look into this.

Sincerely,

I would strongly urge you to stay away from Lake City Ford. Although we have had positive buying experiences from them, the service department has some serious issues. We bought a new 2014 Ford Escape from them and took it in for an issue with the door handle sticking open, from there we ended up with the entire wiring harness being replaced. I feel like not only did they do work that was unnecessary in order to make money off of warranty work, they did not do a good job. They had to take out the entire interior of the car (which they did not even tell me this was going to happen)and when I picked it up I found screws, the interior trim and glove box weren't put back right, and pieces of trim were sticking out. The car has been in their shop 9 times in one year to fix issues that they caused. They have openly admitted that their service department has been having problems and over the last year I keep hearing how they have been working on it, but quality is still a big problem for them. Just last week, my parents who bought a truck from them took it in to repair the rear interior door lock and when they picked it up they found that they didn't even finish putting it back together. Our first experience with the service department was just about a year ago, and we should have learned then but unfortunately we didn't, when we took our daughters car in for a tune up. There was nothing wrong with the car, but with the purchase of my new Ford Escape we decided to turn the Ford Focus over to our daughter and just wanted them to go through it and make sure everything was in good working order before we turned it over to her. When my husband picked it up he barely made it off the lot. What happened is they damaged the spark plug wires when they were working on it and wanted to charge us $150 to fix it! My husband was pissed and said no way, drove down to a parts house and bought the wires and replaced them in the parking lot. Like I said, we should have learned from that one! I'm not usually one to write reviews, especially bad ones, but in this case I really don't want others to go through the experience that we have. We have brought these matters to the attention of Lake City Ford. They're solutions involve either selling us a new car or keep trying to repair the car I have - both options only cost us money but allow them to continue making money.
