Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Seredni did
not make an offer or acknowledge any error.
The response also contained an inaccurate description of my visit and
the conversation. The response does not address the reasons for my complaint.
I am complaining because of two reasons:
1) Seredni
should have informed me that they do not do transmission work and referred me to
a transmission shop when I described the reason for my visit in January 2015 before
Seredni attempted any work.
2)  Seredni
showed me evidence on May 12, 2015 that they did not do the work that they said
they did in January 2015 and they did not provide any evidence or explanation
to the contrary, given the facts of the work performed on my car after my
January 2015 visit.
My last 2
oil changes were at [redacted] on November 25, 2014 (where they mark their work
with yellow paint) and Seredni on January 28, 2015.  [redacted] clearly provided my last oil
change.
I have been
driving around for 3.5 months believing that Seredni replaced my oil filter
adapter and performed an oil change in January 2015 until [redacted] showed me
the evidence on May 12, 2015 that they did not.
The evidence was the yellow painted oil filter and drain plug that she
said was not their work and that her technician states could not possibly have
remained intact if they had done their work.
[redacted]
still argues a fact that I am not disputing: Seredni did not put the yellow
spray painted oil filter or spray paint the drain plug yellow. It was proven to
be the work of [redacted]. The fact that she ignores is that the last time that
my car was taken to a [redacted] was November 25, 2014. The other two places
that I took my car did not perform an oil change and do not use yellow paint to
mark their work.  I have done my
investigation into that possibility and then returned to Seredni on May 26,
2015 to share the results and ask them to admit the error. She stated that she
didn’t know where I took my car since January, but I told her I could show her.
She appeared to be uninterested in knowing that additional information so it
could remain an unanswered question in her mind.
The fact
that Seredni does not fix transmissions was not told to me until after their
supposed repair in January 2015. I was upset when the technician made note that
it was “slipping” as an afterthought because that was my primary reason for the
visit.  I knew I had an oil leak and I
asked them to ignore it for the moment to address my primary concern.  The technician called back to explain the
diagnostic code and his recommendation to fix the oil leak and see what
happens. I followed his recommendation. He did not realize that the
transmission was the reason for my visit because of how the front desk worker
recorded the problem on the invoice. My transmission was unrepairable 7 days
later.
I have [redacted] a detailed description of the January
visit and additional facts for your review.
Regards,
[redacted]

We recently purchased a car from Elmwood and we were very impressed with the quality of service we received. The salesman, ([redacted]) was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to provide topnotch service. We would recommend this dealership to anyone.

I do not agree with [redacted]' story, as it contains many fabrications.  An alignment was never verbally recommended or communicated to me.  It was simply printed on a receipt after I had paid.  I certainly did not refuse it and there is no documentation to support that I refused it.  We did speak to [redacted] who acknowledged the damage and even stated that Seredni works with Wheel Wizard who can fix the damage they caused.  [redacted] acknowledged the damage and stated that it is hard to mount tires without damaging the rims but refused to help us.  I want to make it clear that [redacted] demonstrated the worst customer service I have ever seen.  He was absolutely no help and offered nothing.  We had to go over his head to the owner [redacted] to receive any type of restitution.  [redacted] never said he would pay half, [redacted] offered that.  [redacted] also states my wheels suffer from chrome loss which would be difficult considering my wheels do not have one single piece of chrome on them.  Again, another fabrication that proves his unethical business practices.  My wheels are painted aluminum alloy.  It is blatantly obvious Seredni caused the damage, as there are large chunks of wheel missing right under the clip on wheel weights that Seredni placed on my wheels. I have included a wheel repair cost with a company I trust, quoted at $300.  I will accept a check from Seredni that totals $150 which is half the cost of wheel repair.  Since this is the BEST solution.

On 9.17.14 Seredni Tire install 4 new [redacted] tires
on a [redacted] (almost 8 years old) [redacted]. The SUV has 97613
miles on it. This vehicle is rugged and capable of off-road conditions.
We notice that when we saw the way his tires were wearing,
/>
we recommended alignment ([redacted]). Not sure if he had been
hitting potholes or curves. He did not want to align it.
The customer came back the next day and talk to the [redacted].
[redacted] could not see any ‘new’ damage and told him to come back and see [redacted]. The
[redacted] ([redacted]) did see crub scruffs, scratches, nicks, chrome loss and
pitted wheels. The customer did point out pervious damage done to his wheels
from curbs and ‘other shops’. [redacted], [redacted] could not see or distinguish
any new damages to the wheels. So out of good will/customer satisfaction, [redacted]
told the customer we would pay ½ of the cost to repair the wheel.
On Weds. 9/24/14, we received a letter from the [redacted] with the
customer’s complaint about wanting new wheels from the factory. We offered him
out best solution and he refused. The wheels are NOT damaged and NOT destroyed.
They DO NOT need replacing.

This is in reference to the dispute about the oil change issue. We DID change the oil filteradapter gasket. In order to change the oil filter adapter gasket you have to remove the oil filter. There was a major oil leak at the filter adapter. Had we left the original oil filter on it, it...

wouldhave been dirty with oil build up, but the filter appeared to be new. We do not spray any colorpaint on our filter or drain plugs. We also would not have put bis old oil filter back on the car. Icannot answel' for the yellow paint nor the brand name filter on his car; since it was not a brandname that we use. Our mechanics offered to bring the car in and try to change the oil but, herefused. In January, when we changed the oil filter adapter, we did address the transmission issue. On the invoice we noted that the trans fluid was topped off and seemed to be slipping andadvised him to go to the dealer or trans shop. We do not repair transmissions; therefore weadvised taking it to someone who does. There was no charge to him for this service. If we can provide more information to reconcile this, please contact us.[redacted]Sincerely,
