This response letter is regarding the complaint received on 10/10/with the ID of Firstly, theguest, MrsCarol Ferraro, incorrectly stated that she checked-into the Lake Crest Inn on 07/31/MrsFerrarodid in fact cheto the Lake Crest Inn on July 31, After Mrs
Ferraro checkto her Courtyard KingRoom with partial lake views, MrsFerraro returned to the front office in order to voice her concernsIimmediately offered solutions to MrsFerraro's demands regarding her roomMy husband and I proceeded to Mrs.Ferraro's room in order to tidy up the room while she and her husband left for a walk This included re-vacuuming,dusting and leaving additional bath amenities (which include soap, conditioning shampoo and body wash).To my knowledge, MrsFerraro, checked out on her check-out date and was thankful about her stayTo oursurprise,_two months later, we received a credit card charge back from Mrs Ferraro's bank: I proceeded to addressthe charge back and sent in the necessary documents to the bank, which included: a signed registration form,receipt, emails confirmationAfter a month of deliberation MrsFerraro's bank sided with us at the Lake Crest Innand returned the funds to our accountThey had seen no reason to refund back MrsFerraro's money, when in factshe did stay at the Lake Crest Inn and by doing so would be theft of services.At the Lake Crest Inn, our in-season office hours are 9:am until 9:pmI know this because I am the managerof this property and I am the one who is in the office for the entirety of these office hoursTo clarify, in-season isdefined as july and August Should the office be closed after 9:00pm, which it is, there is an emergency phonenumber listed on the front door of the front office buildingThis emergency phone number rings directly to mypersonal cell phoneMy husband and I live right on the property, so should there be anything wrong, we arepresent on the property to aid our guests.Shortly after the decision of the bank, MrsFerraro proceeded to call our office relentlessly and harass the officestaff at the Lake Crest InnI do not and will not stand for the harassment and battement of the employees at LakeCrest InnMrsFerraro stated that she would not stop in her relentless crusade against the Lake Crest Inn until "weare shut down and out of business."MrsFerraro then proceeded to contact the NYS Health Department, which did follow up with a callI personallyspoke the agent assigned to the case and she was in as much dismay as I had beenWe, at the Lake Crest Inn, havealways passedevery NYS Health inspection with flying colorsMrsFerraro's claims and accusations were that ofhearsay.I felt that my family and I had addressed the issues at hand, on the day of the complaint We are a honest, hardworking, family owned businessWe only wish for our guests to have a nice time on their vacation in Lake George,NYIf MrsFerraro had been so sincerely unhappy at the time of her stay, we would have refunded her money onthe day of july 31, But MrsFerraro did stay the total two nights of her vacation and then initiated acharge back through her bank, two months laterThat constitutes theft of services, as she did in fact stay theentirety of her vacation at the Lake Crest Inn.Thank you for your unbiased earWe hope that this case may be put to rest and that these unwarranted attacks onmy family and me may cease.Good day and God bless,Pauline SwiderskiManager Lake Crest Inn

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12435010, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Checked in 7/31/2017, young woman 17-20 checked us in, took payment for 7/31-8/1. I had to ask where the room was. I went to the room it was not clean, smelled really bad. I went back, she said she would clean it. I went out, came back 830 pm sign on door closed.  Tues am 845 sign on door still closed - went out as room made me cough constantly, came back 830 pm closed sign on door in office, young man 16-18 in door way. My husband and I decided to leave early since the smell of the mold & musty room was getting to us we went to the office 845 am closed sign on door. There was a man putting the chalk sign out and asked him what time the office opened, I wanted to see rules, he said she comes in at 10. I didn't need to get sick, she obviously doesn't know who is doing what. this is inexcusable. I will offer to pay 1 night and resolve this issue. I tried to call, all I get is an answering machine. Thank you for your time, please advise me as to your descision.
