Lake Havasu Houseboat Rentals Reviews (2)

We planned this family trip for over 6mthsWe flew in from MD and met several family members to board the boatWe paid $for early boarding, we couldn't leave port until 10am the next dayAt 9:30am they showed up with parts in hand telling us the engine in our 75' houseboat had problemsThey worked on it for hrs, then tell us that the head gasket in the engine is blown and the boat can not be taken outThey said the people who rented it before us ran the boat hot,,,so they knew this when we checked in the day before and never mentioned it to us
Also, let me mention that from the moment we stepped on the boat it smelled like pure sewageOver the entire week the smell was times worseI don't think they pumped them out from last peopleOur toilets overflowed by day
We told them we wanted another boat but they didn't have oneThey said they can tow us out for the week so we can stay on the boatThe tow company was a man with a yr old 18' boatTook over an hour and mins to get to a coveSo by now its 3pm and we've lost a day on the water
The a/c didn't work so it was hot as hellDay we opened up filter panel and it was clogged solidWe took it out and it blew harder but not cooler
The boat had a bee hive and we had about bees attack us and we all where stung multiple times
The grill handle was held on by screw and was hard to grill on
The park rangers showed up to pick up trash and told us we have to pay to stay in the coveBut the houseboat company should have given us a pass....we had to pay them $to park the boat there all week...not like we could just start it up and move or explore the Lake!!
We rented jet skis, pontoon boats and ski boats adding about $to our trip so we where able to explore the lake and was able to get to shore to pick up ice, beer or and groceries we may have needed
On last day we where told the tow company would be out at 11am to get us back to port by the 1pm deadlineHe showed up at 1pm and we didn't get back to port until close to 4pmSo we all there sitting and waiting for them to come for us at 11amWe lost another day waiting
Not to mention....this company knew we where out there without a houseboat that ran and not at one time did anyone call and check on us
They tried to charge us gas, pump out fees and propane use
After complaining several times and going back in forth they only gave us our deposit back, and credit for the State Park, Pump out and propaneThen finally the gasI feel we should have been given a few days credited or at these discount on another week
After being out on the water a few days we had people tell us they had rented the same boat several weeks ago and the company told them it had engine issues then and towed them outIf they knew the engine is bad then why are they renting this boat at full price or at all!!! DO NOT RENT!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!

We planned this family trip for over 6mths. We flew in from MD and met several family members to board the boat. We paid $325 for early boarding, we couldn't leave port until 10am the next day. At 9:30am they showed up with parts in hand telling us the engine in our 75' houseboat had problems. They worked on it for 2 hrs, then tell us that the head gasket in the engine is blown and the boat can not be taken out. They said the people who rented it before us ran the boat hot,,,so they knew this when we checked in the day before and never mentioned it to us.

Also, let me mention that from the moment we stepped on the boat it smelled like pure sewage. Over the entire week the smell was 10 times worse. I don't think they pumped them out from last people. Our toilets overflowed by day 3.

We told them we wanted another boat but they didn't have one. They said they can tow us out for the week so we can stay on the boat. The tow company was a man with a 30 yr old 18' boat. Took over an hour and 20 mins to get to a cove. So by now its 3pm and we've lost a day on the water.

The a/c didn't work so it was hot as hell. Day 3 we opened up filter panel and it was clogged solid. We took it out and it blew harder but not cooler.

The boat had a bee hive and we had about 2000 bees attack us and we all where stung multiple times.

The grill handle was held on by 1 screw and was hard to grill on.

The park rangers showed up to pick up trash and told us we have to pay to stay in the cove. But the houseboat company should have given us a pass....we had to pay them $320 to park the boat there all week...not like we could just start it up and move or explore the Lake!!

We rented jet skis, pontoon boats and ski boats adding about $4000 to our trip so we where able to explore the lake and was able to get to shore to pick up ice, beer or and groceries we may have needed.

On last day we where told the tow company would be out at 11am to get us back to port by the 1pm deadline. He showed up at 1pm and we didn't get back to port until close to 4pm. So we all there sitting and waiting for them to come for us at 11am. We lost another day waiting.

Not to mention....this company knew we where out there without a houseboat that ran and not at one time did anyone call and check on us.

They tried to charge us gas, pump out fees and propane use.

After complaining several times and going back in forth they only gave us our deposit back, and credit for the State Park, Pump out and propane. Then finally the gas. I feel we should have been given a few days credited or at these discount on another week.

After being out on the water a few days we had 2 people tell us they had rented the same boat several weeks ago and the company told them it had engine issues then and towed them out. If they knew the engine is bad then why are they renting this boat at full price or at all!!! DO NOT RENT!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!
