We rented a house for daughter's graduation, May 2020, through VRBO and Lake Keowee Properties. Due to covid 19 the graduation was cancelled. We were inside the 60 day cancellation policy but requested a cancellation and refund. We were offered another date in the future with an extra day added. We declined and again asked for a refund (we were willing to wait several months for refund). We did not hear back, several days later we received notification from VRBO. " We are sorry but owner had to cancel your reservation. " VRBO site said due to Coronavirus, refund could take a several weeks. We waited 60+ days and asked VRBO about the refund. They said owner needed to initiate the refund, they could not. They got the owner on the phone with us, who insisted we cancelled. We said we were negotiating and did not cancel. They said they rejected our negotiations. We can't reschedule as a family member has underlying health issues and don't know when we could reschedule. We are looking for at the very least a 1/2 refund ($3,000 +) They charged over $6,000 and kept it all.

Refund The owner said they couldn't refund us because they had other businesses that took a hit due to Coronavirus, which is why we were willing to wait. This business should not have anything to do with their other businesses. We Think that we are entitled to some of our money back. I good faith payment would be acceptable, we understand these are unique times.
