Review: I recently went to lake pocotopaug auto to purchase a vehicle. I found a vehicle, and put a $250 deposit down for the vehicle. Due to circumstances out of my control, I am unable to purchase the vehicle. I have made numerous attempts via email and phone-and had gotten no response. I finally got in touch with [redacted] to try and get my deposit back. [redacted] became very belligerent over the phone and stated I could not have my deposit back. [redacted] was very unprofessional in regard to this matter, as was his assistant [redacted]. Very disappointed.Desired Settlement: I would like my deposit of $250

Review: I brought my car from this company and the breaks are not working I gave him an extra 500 on something that should a been fix it's a safety issue and to top it off the breaks are still not fixed I almost crashed with my daughter in the car the breaks went to the floorDesired Settlement: Just my breaks to be fixed and whatever else is wrong with it due to my messed up breaks and my extra 500 dollars back

Review: My complaint has multiple issues that need to be resolved. First is, the vehicle that I purchased from [redacted] is a lemon. I purchased the car wed 2/26/14, it was not ready when I dropped off my check. So I had to drive back up there on thursday, had to wait 2 hours, drove it home went to start it friday morning and it wouldn't start (not even with a jump). Needless to say a [redacted] sta[redacted] the Cluster is bad and needs a new one, Volvo clusters have to be programmed to that specific car. Most of the dash board lights didn't work. When I talked to him on Friday 2/28/2014 he told me that he could give me another car to drive until they fix mine. I like about 50 miles away from the dealership drove up there this morning and asked him about giving us a car to drive until he fixed mine. He goes I don't have any dealer plates on the lot. I told him I cannot keep paying for a rental, thats why I purchased a new car. He got an attitude with me and told me to leave I called the police, not only was he very rude he hit me with his door of his business when I was there. He is very unprofessional and a sexiest. He talked down to me because I am a women. Never buy a car hear. Also I doesn't have the proper battery, the muffler is loose, and the tirod ends need to be checked. Thank you and have a nice day.Desired Settlement: I want my car fixed properly and if it is not I am taking my car to a Volvo Dealership and he will pay for the cost to fix the issues, I want reimbursement for the additional week I have to keep the rental ($245). I he doesn't resolve the issue to my standards then I will take legal action against [redacted] and his Dealership and my finance company is also taking action.

Review: I purchased a 1998 [redacted] from the dealership, I drove 60 miles from the dealership to [redacted] Connecticut where I go to school and the car broke down on me. I then had the car towed to [redacted] where an initial diagnosis was performed on the car. The mechanic there said I had wiring issues and h couldn't find the source of my problem, he told me my car would have to go to [redacted]. I then had my car towed to the [redacted] of [redacted] where the [redacted] specific diagnosis was performed. My consultant at [redacted] was [redacted] and he informed me that my car was in very poor condition, fuel lines have been patched and are very rusty and swelling, front tires dryrotted, front swaybar mounting brakes/frame has been welded and isn't secure. [redacted] then informed me that there are a few large oil leaks without the engine running, hatchback is broken , undershields missing, ball joints loose/collapsed, [redacted] informed me I would need a new [redacted] in order to get my car to start again which would cost double what the car cost and that even then there are more problems with the cars unibody and that I shouldn't repair it as it is not road worthy.Desired Settlement: Refunded for cost of car, refund for [redacted] servicing and storage , refund for towing, refund for cost fees.

Review: I bought an 03 jetty in may 2014 less than a week later the ignition coils went then a week later the coil packs it's August now I've had the water pump go the fuel pump go my gaskets are leaking coolant the oil tube broke the thermostat is broken they only fix bare minimum and sell crappie cars that have more problems than you can imagine and charge you and arm and a leg and refuse to do the repair work I don't suggest this place to anyone that doesn't want to get [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want my money back!!!!

Review: Went to dealership looking for a car, currently going though a divorce and money is tight. Spoke with [redacted] who got me the loan and told me to bring all the correct paperwork(bank statement, references, utility bill). I also put a 300 dollar deposite on car, I signed the paper and was told I be all set so I did all that and they said to come back on Friday. They told me I had to have ct license and they couldn't do it. At that time my cousin that drove me there told me I could just have his other car that he no longer used. With that being said I asked for my money back and they said that I had to talk to [redacted] the owner. Who was not there. A couple days later I get a call from [redacted] and he says I initialed saying no money back(which I only did cause they said that they could have me in car by Friday). [redacted] also told me I have my problems and he has his, and when I need a car to go back to them and he'll give me the 300 credit on there crappy cars.

Review: I bought a 2001 Dodge Dakota with 100,000 from them. It all started when I asked about a loan and once I said I had good credit they said they wouldn't work with me, they only get loans for people with bad credit. When I first tried to buy the truck they said that the brakes needed to be replaced and it would be ready on a Tuesday. On that Thursday (two days after they promised) I was finally able to pick up my truck. They said that they put brand new brakes on it and fixed the exhaust. One week later the check engine light came on so I brought it back. After 4 days of them not contacting me and continual phone calls that weren't answered I finally got through and they said it had been ready for two days. When I picked up the truck, the spare tire was missing and the back license plate light was broken and they said they weren't responsible for what happens when the cars are in the lot waiting to be picked up. Several days later the check engine light came back on and when I called them, they said it was an emission thing and they weren't going to spend hours trying to fix it or get me my spare tire. I have only put on 1,000 miles on it since January and I brought it to a shop to get looked at and the mechanic said it should not be on the road at all. It needs all four new brakes and brake lines (which means they didn't actually do it they just fixed it enough to be road worthy), it needs a TPS sensor, the oil pan was rusted and cracked, the power steering was rusted, and there is still an emission leak. I payed $5000 and after driving 1,000 miles it needs $2400 worth of work alreadyDesired Settlement: They won't answer phone calls or call back and I want some money back. I'm doing all of the repairs myself but I can get receipts for all of the parts. Also I want the place shut down, it is a skeevy place that tricks people into buying cars that aren't safe for the road.

Review: We purchased a used car from this dealership and were told we could pick up the car in a couple days because of numerous problems we weren't able to get the car for a week and a half. THe owner told me on multiple occasions that if anything went wrong with the car in the first 2 months to bring it back and he would take care of it. Our engine light came on and we tried to fix it. When we couldn't get the light to turn off we contacted [redacted] at the dealership and he told us he never said that he would warranty anything and told us to "lose his number" He was not interested in even hearing what the problem was just told us to lose his number and then hung up on us!
