RE: Complaint ID ***Over our year history we have always strived to be good neighborsAs houses began to be built around us our goal was to always be welcoming and courteous, regardless if the new neighbors were members or notParking can certainly be tight around our areaIf we are
having a popular class, if the school is having an event, or a neighbor is having a party (4th of July comes to mind), parking seems to regularly spill out onto the streetLike anywhere, people are expected to follow the lawWe have, and will continue to remind people to be courteous and lawful when parking.Desired Settlement:“Contact by business” We can certainly contact the neighborWe’d also be able to meet in person if she desires.“…see people not parking in front of my home or using my drive was as a parking lot”If this is a county road, we have no authority to tell people were they can and cannot park- members, neighbors, school visitors, or otherwiseThe complaint mentions that this is “technically a private road”If this is the case, they should be able to put private road and no parking signsThat should alleviate all of the concerns“…my child is in danger… cannot get out of the driveway”The safety of the child and the family is obviously their number one concernIf an unsafe condition arises from illegal actions the authorities should be contactedIf someone is illegally parked, but there are no unsafe conditions, we would be happy to make an announcement over our paging systemCall us anytime this happens with make, model, color, and license plate and we’ll page the owner“Make the parking lot bigger or something” Given our property size and layout this is not an optionAll land that is available to be used for parking currently is“…staff take this more seriously vs chuckling…” We can talk to the Front Desk staff about their interactions with the neighborIf she felt the staff was being disrespectful, this is an issueThis is not how they are trainedFurthermore, they are expected to treat all people equally and professionally“Let your membership know they will be towed…” We have posted signs at the Front Desk on occasionWe have also put a reminder in our newsletterWith summer coming up, it is a good time for another announcementAgain, we cannot tell anyone that they are not allowed to park on the streetWe will state that cars parked illegally can /will be towedWe are more than willing to discuss any other concernsRyan G General Manager
