Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:What the business fails to mention is that failure to repair a noise in the left front wheel is not excused by the discounted price When I initially brought the truck into the business for repair I had noticed the noise in the left front wheel before I brought it in I also knew I needed new brakes and a few other things as the truck had been inspected by another business as wellI did not mention the noise in the left front wheel because I wanted to determine if the business was going to do a thorough job of inspectionWhen they mentioned the play in the left front Hub/Bearing I translated that into the cause of the noise I had heard earlier before bringing it in the first timeThey did not mention hearing any noise, just that the bearing was wornI did not hear any noise on the right Hub/Bearing at the time I picked the truck just prior to our trip to AZI did immediately hear the same noise in the left front hub/bearing that I had heard before I brought in the first time However, I did not have time to bring it back into the business to find out what was going on as we had a firm deadline having to be in AZ by no later than November and it takes us days pulling the RV to get there and also was dealing with a reroof project that also needed tobe compete by we had to leave for AZI recognized that I had a warranty that was supposed to good anywhere in the country so I wasn't all that concerned because I could get it repaired under warranty in AZ So after we arrived in AZ, I took it to a repair shop in AZ and yes they could hear the noise in the left front wheel, no noise in the right front wheel, but they could do no warranty repair because there had been no repair done on the left front Hub/Bearing So when I returned in the spring of I contacted the business to have them work on the truck They flat told me I could not make an appointment so I could wait for the repairs to be done since I live over miles from the shop and they told me I lived so far away they didn't want to drive me home and come pick me upThey said it would take several days and that is why I couldn't wait for it This truck is my daily driver so it took a long time for me to find a window where I wouldn't need the truck for a period of days and also arrange to have my wife come to pick me up when I dropped the truck off and when we needed to pick it upIt was made clear to me by Erick that I could not stay at their facility while they worked on itI found that very strange and actually disturbing which I did not understand at the time, I do nowErick called me while the ruck was in for service the second time and told me that there was no noise coming from the left front Wheel/Hub and that the noise was coming from the right wheel/hub/bearingAnd they wanted authorization to fix the right side and would replace the bearing on the left side under warranty even though all the noise was coming from the right sideI would not authorize any more work on the right side and said I wanted to drive the truck before I would authorize any more work I actually picked up the truck on a Sunday not a Saturday when the business was closed and had arranged that when I dropped off the truck the second timeI immediately noticed a completely new much larger noise come from the right front wheel that surprised me beyond beliefHowever, I finally did notice that the noise I had heard earlier on the left front wheel was now goneIt was very clear to me what had happened I dropped in later to get a copy of the work order since none was in the truck when I picked the truck up SundayBefore I even was out of my vehicle Erick was already anxious to repair the noise on the right front wheel which hadn't been there beforeI asked for a copy of the work invoice and it appears to have been done after the fact and is not very definitiveI complained to Erick that there was no way that this truck had a noise in the right front wheel when I brought it in thereI found his response very telling"Quite often the front Wheel bearing both go out at the same time and there was no way to make it make noise." I had not even accused him of thatIt was very obvious his guilty conscience was talkingThe bottom line is the left front Hub Bearing had not been changed the first time as verified by the shop in AZ and I suspect a bad hub was installed on the right sideThe business did not want me to see that going on and that is why they did not want me around during the service I have an invoice for the $work that was done on the right front wheel by [redacted] in Monroe, WAIf that is needed I'll be happy to provide a copyIf I cannot get this resolved through Revdex.com I will have no choice but to file a claim in Small Claims CourtSincerely, [redacted]

We are not liable to cover repairs on the right front bearingThe work we did on the left front bearing was done correctlyThe part was replaced under warranty on the left front bearingNo work was done by us to the right front bearingWe will not be reimbursing Mr***

Please note: Lake Stevens Automotive and *** *** are two totally different businessesThey are in two different cities; the addresses are different, they have two different accounting systems, two different customer bases, and different resale numbersThey have their own reviews
It would be preferred that the complaint be filed under the correct identity so as not to affiliate the complaint with the wrong shop. However to address the complaint,On 10-31-*** *** *** brought his Ford FSuper Duty in for a free brake inspectionThe mileage at that time was 158,On that inspection we noted that the front brake pads were at 4mm and the rear at 2mmThey were worn very lowWe also noted that the left front wheel bearing had play in it so we recommended replacement, while the front end was going to be apartWe also noted a rear differential oil leakOn 11-4-14, *** brought his vehicle in for the suggested repairs from 10-31-We replaced the front brake pads, rear brake pads, front calipers, resurfaced the front and rear rotors, replaced the serpentine belt and the left front wheel bearingWe gave him a very generous discount for the bad left front wheel bearing; since we had the brakes already offThe part cost of the bearing was $and the labor we charged was $plus tax. The labor time for the bearing is hoursOur per hour labor rate at that time was $per hour, so you can see we deeply discounted the labor. The part cost was as listed prior to tax:Front Wheel Bearing $349.80Serpentine Belt $83.44Front Brake Pads $126.10Rear Brake Pads $104.93Front Left Caliper $75.00Front Right Caliper $75.00 The labor cost was as listed prior to tax: Rear Differential Service $89.50Front Left Wheel Bearing $35.80Serpentine Belt $35.80Front Brake Service $(discounted $at total, actually costing customer $107.50)Rear Brake Service $(discounted $at total, actually costing customer $107.50) After the repairs were complete we test drove the vehicle and did not note any other issues at that time.We were called in early July by *** saying he heard some noise in the front end area after driving it to Arizona and back with his fifth wheelWe advised him to bring it in ASAP so the warranty time would not run out.He brought the vehicle in on 7-22-We confirmed the noise was coming from the front areaSound travels through metal and it is not uncommon to have bearing noise transfer to another area of the vehicleWe then replaced the left front wheel bearing under warranty at no charge to ***.We then test drove the vehicle and confirmed there was noise coming from the right front wheel bearing Wheel bearings are a part that wears over timeIt is not uncommon for more than one bearing to go out on a vehicle. Bearing noise gradually gets louder over time and milesThe bearings on this particular vehicle are a sealed bearing and can not be tampered with, such as loosely suggested in the complaintWe did not create this noiseWe called *** to inform him of our findingsHe said not to do the repair and that he wanted to drive it after we replaced the left front againHe picked up the vehicle on a Saturday when we were closedWe did not hear from him again for almost a month when he called and said he wanted to pick up a receipt for the warranty work and our findingsHe came to the shop and picked up the paperwork and asked why it was now so noisyWe explained that his front wheel bearings are a sealed unit that can not be adjusted or greased(They are not to be mistaken as a re-packable bearing that can)A sealed bearing can only be replaced not repaired, to stop the noise and that failed bearings will get worse every day as the failed bearings inside are wearing on metal and will damage every inchthat he drivesWe also explained that often times they wear out in pairs, meaning that the first time he left it did not make noise but could be wearing out very soon after the replacement of the left sideHe then left and we never heard from him againTo address the concern that “They refused to allow me to wait for it while it was being repaired”We do not ever make the decision for a customer to wait or not to waitWe have an open lobby with a window that views into the shop floor and four bay doors that are always open during business hoursThe customer can decide what they would like to do*** did show up unannounced for the warranty repairWe worked him into our schedule at that time. The work we provided was accurate and complete without issueIf the work done at the other shop shows we did not perform our due diligence in this repair, an itemized receipt by the other shop, should be provided by*** to both the Revdex.com and ourselvesSince you can not tamper or cause a sealed bearing to go out and it is a part that wears over time, the repair done by theother shop was simply maintenance on this vehicle that we recommendedPlease see links below for more information on wheel bearings. *** ***

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:The business falsified work actually performed as verified by a repair facility in AZ. I have no choice but to file a claim in small claims court immediatelySincerely,*** *** ***

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:What the business fails to mention is that failure to repair a noise in the left front wheel is not excused by the discounted price. .  When I initially brought the truck into the business for repair I had noticed the noise in the left front wheel before I brought it in.  I also knew I needed new brakes and a few other things as the truck had been inspected by another business as well. I did not mention the noise in the left front wheel because I wanted to determine if the business was going to do a thorough job of inspection. When they mentioned the play in the left front Hub/Bearing I translated that into the cause of the noise I had heard earlier before bringing it in the first time. They did not mention hearing any noise, just that the bearing was worn. I did not hear any noise on the right Hub/Bearing at the time I picked the truck just prior to our trip to AZ. I did immediately hear the same noise in the left front hub/bearing that I had heard before I brought in the first time.  However,  I did not have time to bring it back into the business to find out what was going on as we had a firm deadline having to be in AZ by no later than November 14 and it takes us 4 days pulling the RV to get there and also was dealing with a reroof project that also needed tobe compete by we had to leave for AZ. I recognized that I had a warranty that was supposed to good anywhere in the country so I wasn't all that concerned because I could get it repaired under warranty in AZ.  So after we arrived in AZ, I took it to a repair shop in AZ and yes they could hear the noise in the left front wheel, no noise in the right front wheel, but they could do no warranty repair because there had been no repair done on the left front Hub/Bearing.  So when I returned in the spring of 2015 I contacted the business to have them work on the truck.  They flat told me I could not make an appointment so I could wait for the repairs to be done since I live over 13 miles from the shop and they told me I lived so far away they didn't want to drive me home and come pick me up. They said it would take several days and that is why I couldn't wait for it.  This truck is my daily driver so it took a long time for me to find a window where I wouldn't need the truck for a period of days and also arrange to have my wife come to pick me up when I dropped the truck off and when we needed to pick it up. It was made clear to me by Erick that I could not stay at their facility while they worked on it. I found that very strange and actually disturbing which I did not understand at the time, I do now. Erick called me while the ruck was in for service the second time and told me that there was no noise coming from the left front Wheel/Hub and that the noise was coming from the right wheel/hub/bearing. And they wanted authorization to fix the right side and would replace the bearing on the left side under warranty even though all the noise was coming from the right side. I would not authorize any more work on the right side and said I wanted to drive the truck before I would authorize any more work.  I actually picked up the truck on a Sunday not a Saturday when the business was closed and had arranged that when I dropped off the truck the second time. I immediately noticed a completely new much larger noise come from the right front wheel that surprised me beyond belief. However, I finally did notice that the noise I had heard earlier on the left front wheel was now gone. It was very clear to me what had happened.  I dropped in later to get a copy of the work order since none was in the truck when I picked the truck up Sunday. Before I even was out of my vehicle Erick was already anxious to repair the noise on the right front wheel which hadn't been there before. I asked for a copy of the work invoice and it appears to have been done after the fact and is not very definitive. I complained to Erick that there was no way that this truck had a noise in the right front wheel when I brought it in there. I found his response very telling. "Quite often the front Wheel bearing both go out at the same time and there was no way to make it make noise." I had not even accused him of that. It was very obvious his guilty conscience was talking. The bottom line is the left front Hub Bearing had not been changed the first time as verified by the shop in AZ and I suspect a bad hub was installed on the right side. The business did not want me to see that going on and that is why they did not want me around during the service.  I have an invoice for the $680 work that was done on the right front wheel by [redacted] in Monroe, WA. If that is needed I'll be happy to provide a copy. If I cannot get this resolved through Revdex.com I will have no choice but to file a claim in Small Claims Court. Sincerely,[redacted]

[redacted] ABANDONED his vehicle for 5 months from early December to May 4th. The only reason it did not go any longer was we enlisted the help of a tow company to call him to offer to tow his vehicle to his home instead of to impound. He was given a final date of 5/5/17. We tried contacting him...

roughly 15 times to pick up his vehicle. We were generous to not charge him daily storage of his vehicle and we did not have it impounded, which we are within our rights to do. We also did not charge him any fees for diagnosis. Storage is charged at $40 per day.[redacted] was informed that we would not be responsible for anything that happens to the vehicle, once he informed us he was going to leave it until after the Holidays. He was very clear he had no intention on doing the repair. He made no effort to make any communication about his vehicle for many months. His phone was disconnected in January. We were able to contact him via direct message in early March, but he still left his vehicle until May 4th. We are not liable for an abandoned vehicle.Jody
