Review: Condition of house in general:

Economy should not mean run down, mildew smelling, moldy, dirty and in terrible condition. This home needs a tremendous amount of work to bring it up to a living condition, economy or not, and we believe it should not even be rented to others until the living conditions of the home are improved, or the home is demolished and reconstructed due to the mold and mildew that we witnessed.

The first thing my husband said to me when he opened the front door was, do you smell that? I said, yes, it smells like mildew. He said that smell is due to mold. He immediately went into the rear patio and saw mold all along the outside of the foundation wall and on the exterior walls of the home. The smell also seems to be coming up through the floor vents where the heater ducts run under the floor. With our bad allergies we both were very uncomfortable about this and the foul odor was not going to go away.

In addition to the mold and mildew smell of the home there are two beds in the home that are terribly old and soft that when we sat or laid on them we sagged in the middle terribly. My husband has a bad back so that was not going to work for him. The beds appeared to be over twenty years old.

The toilet seat in the master bathroom had a piece of tape around a spot that was cracked and would pinch your butt if you sat on it.

Some of the closet doors are warped and off the tracks making them nearly impossible to open.

The sliding glass door to the rear patio did not have a lock and appeared that someone had tried to break in. The door has a board in the track to keep it from opening.

There’s were scratches and scuffs though-out the house, damage to the walls, the door handle was coming off in the master bedroom.

There were wax spots on the carpet, a huge purple stain under the dining table.

The safety screen to the wood burning stove was leaned up against the wall behind the stove and the screen was broken with holes in the sides so we didn’t want to light a fire concerned for our safety.

There was an empty bag of Ice Melt thrown on the ground next to the door. There is also other trash laying around. We took several photos of the damage to the home and the mold and mold stains.Desired Settlement: Total Refund. We checked out the following morning and found suitable accommodations elsewhere.
