Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I accept [redacted]'s offer of refunding $500 back to my account. I think it's fair. Thanks, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:Thanks for your response. I think it is not fair to put all responsibilities for this accident on me only and charge from me so big amount of money without thinking again and again about reasons why this accident happened. It happened because Guide just was riding his showmobile maybe with a safe speed but really fast for people without experience on snowmobile rides. My friend who was with me can confirm that speed was excessive for riders without experience.  Also he did not pay any attention at all for people riding behind him, he just rided his snowmobile. I know before ride I  signed waive of insurance form but nobody from your office really paid my attention how important to have insurance. So I think it would be correct if I share some responsibility for this accident.  I think it would be honest if I pay $500 (because yes I fall down from snowmobile and it hit the tree), you credit me back $1000.Your thoughts.[redacted]

Review: I was on a snowmobile tour in Lake Tahoe on March 22 2016. Instructor [redacted] was negligent, he did not provide proper directions on how to ride snowmobile because my group was full of experienced riders. He put me right behind him and did not pay any attention while other more experienced snowmobile riders were behind me. Instructor was going too fast and did not check to make sure I was able to keep up with him. While struggling to keep up with instructor, I fell off snowmobile and it slowly kept going forward and hit a tree. Also instructor took note that snowmobile already had minor damage on it before I started riding it. After the accident happened, instructor gave me another snowmobile to drive when he could clearly see I was in a state of shock and did not want to drive. When I went to check out, [redacted] charged me $1500 on my card without asking me. This is an illegal charge because the instructor was negligent by putting a new driver into a group of experienced riders and going too fast.

I think manager [redacted] and instructor [redacted] are responsible for this accident, this is their fault, they cannot charge me.

We talked to [redacted] several times and asked to talk to [redacted], she said John will call back. He never called back.

Lake Tahoe Adventures sent us estimate about possible repairs they need to do for damaged snowmobile. Estimate shows generic pictures (maybe copied from book), no real photos with damage, it does not show any information about real repair costs.Desired Settlement: $1500 refund + $165 refund for ticket price (ride was interrupted in the middle, there is no my fault, business is responsible).

Total amount to refund $1665.00

Response:

Hi [redacted], here are some photos of snowmobile #83 that was damaged during rental by Mr. [redacted].At the time of the incident the Mr. [redacted] had been driving the snowmobile for well over an hour and 15 or more miles. He was directly behind the Guide and traveling on a 30' wide groomed trail at a safe speed. Mr. [redacted] declined any rental protection and wanted to take financial responsibility for the snowmobile himself. The damage that he caused to the snowmobile is extensive. The total actually exceeds the original estimate. We still honored the original estimate. We have acted in good faith. We only did what had been agreed to prior to him going on the tour. We feel that Mr. [redacted] should honor his word as well. It is very unfortunate that this happened, we would certainly prefer that is did not. We are very pleased that Mr. [redacted] and his guest were not injured. We truly want for Mr. [redacted] to have enjoyed his tour with us and at the very least feel that he has been treated fairly. We may be open to some form of reasonable negotiation on this matter but a refund of all the damage and the cost of the tour is out of the question.
