June 24, 2015The drain was installed half way up the driveway approximately 70' longWe used perforated drain tile and 1" wash rock approximately 16" deep, using inches of topsoil over the top of corrugated pipePipe went underneath the sidewalk and the pop up emitter let out at the curb The area was seeded and Penn mulchedThe topsoil was sent with employees, which was ordered by ***, but he decided to use topsoil that was left over from a previous job and different company [redacted] had my employees use the topsoil he provided insteadThat was the difference in the billWhere the topsoil was washed away, we have no way of knowing if the seeded area was watered correctlyIf the area was not watered correctly the grass seed would not germinated properly, therefore if the grass does not take root, the rain will wash the topsoil away on an incline.I suggested that the neighbor install pop up emitters to slow the water flow downAfter talking to the neighbor, he chose not correct the water flow coming over into [redacted] yardAfter the job was complete, [redacted] and [redacted] walked the yard and [redacted] was satisfied with the job and was complete [redacted] paid the invoiceIn the beginning of the season, our small company is very busy with scheduled jobs, and at the time [redacted] wanted us to look at his yard, we had to work him in our scheduleWhen I returned in April to look at the problem [redacted] suggested, I noticed there was a black corregated pipe coming off of neighbor's downspout to keep water from washing the remainder of topsoil awayAfter seeing the pipe and knowing the neighbor was not going to correct the water flow to [redacted] property, !then recommend sod to ***An estimate for sod that [redacted] requested, was sent to ***He chose not to use sod [redacted] said he would take care of the area from neighbors downspout down, where neighbors water was washing the topsoil awayHe then asked to have the area re-seeded above the area that was washing out from neighbor's downspoutsI re-seeded the area [redacted] requestedThe area re-seeded was in the front yard from neighbors downspout and up, to the end of driveway in [redacted] Lakeridge, LLC
