The only reliable way to find a leak in an automotive air conditioning system is to evacuate the system and then recharge with the correct amount of refrigerant and add a dye that will reflect under a black lightImproper refrigerant levels by just adding dye will sometimes not show a leak and can cause system damage. We use this procedure for all air conditioner service and the customer is always advised that there will be a leak in the system and the repair can sometimes be expensiveThe leak in MrHouse's system was at the back portion of the compressor where it is put togetherThe only repair for this is to rebuild or replace the compressorIf he feels that we did not explain this properly or he did not understand that the evacuate and recharge is a diagnostic test I will gladly refund the $I have never had a complaint lodged against me before in the plus years I have been a member of the Revdex.comIf he would have come to me and told me he was not satisfied I would have given him his money back Dale D***President E.DD [redacted] Inc.dba [redacted] Certified Auto

Regards,
*** *** How does your reply relate to my complaint? The answer is it doesn't! It's about Mike who knew the car wasn't in good condition as he told usof which he lied and should of not proceeded in servicing the a/cIf he would have NOT serviced the a/c we both wouldn't be wasting our time onthis and there wouldn't have been a complaint filedBy continuing with these delusional replies only helps my case for those who can see the truthYou people need to read my complaint again it's obvious you are attempting to cover up what has happened hereNowheres in my complaint did I mentionI was disputing the cost of a subframe repair only the a/c is the ONLY issueLet me clear things up again for those who didn't read the complaint. Two other businesses which were ***'s of Mentor and ***'s Garage of Painesville both saw what Mike saw and he didn't tell me the truth that is the reason for my complaintMike didn't tell me the truth like the other businesses mentioned knew by inspecting the underneath of the car the a/cshouldn't have been serviced and or checked for a leakThe unibody located on the left rear of the car can't be repaired so no need to respondwith an estimate for that as I NEVER asked for an estimate for ANYTHING except by email for the a/cAs for telling me "subframes on the *** *** in this area of the country are rusty", that's a nobrainer! Here's another good reply by Lakeside,"This is not a reason to junk the vehicle if the rest of it is in good condition"Having a bad unibody means the car isn't in good condition by those who can tell the difference.I referred to my car as junk because ***'s told me, a reputable company, said the fuel lines are the least of your worries and recommended to get another vehicleBut on the flipside when I took the car to Lakeside Certified Automotive that's not what I was told not at all, Mike said the car looks good and that is simply not the truth! If you want to settle this referrer to my desired resolution to this complaintOtherwise you're just making your company look worse thanit already does WHEN it goes public

The only reliable way to find a leak in an automotive air conditioning system is to evacuate the system and then recharge with the correct amount of refrigerant and add a dye that will reflect under a black light. Improper refrigerant levels by just adding dye will sometimes not show a leak and can...

cause system damage. We use this procedure for all air conditioner service and the customer is always advised that there will be a leak in the system and the repair can sometimes be expensive. The leak in Mr. House's system was at the back portion of the compressor where it is put together. The only repair for this is to rebuild or replace the compressor. If he feels that we did not explain this properly or he did not understand that the evacuate and recharge is a diagnostic test I will gladly refund the $99.95. I have never had a complaint lodged against me before in the 20 plus years I have been a member of the Revdex.com. If he would have come to me and told me he was not satisfied I would have given him his money back.  Dale D[redacted]President E.D. D[redacted] Inc.dba [redacted] Certified Auto

I believe this was a misunderstanding on my part from the beginning. If you have not met me I am Dale D[redacted], Mike's partner. I only come in for a few hours a week to handle financial and other business problems as I am permanently disabled. I evidently misinterpreted your original complaint by not having all the information from all sources. As to the refund for your AC recharge I have no problem with that. Again I apologize if we dropped the ball on finding your rust issue. Please send an address to forward a check to and I will take care of it personally. Dale D[redacted]

Regards,
[redacted] Mike missed the subframe and the unibody as I asked for the car to be inspected I don't know anything about a quick look over but apparently it was. Again I didn't want the a/c serviced and or checked for leaks if there was something substantially wrong with the underneath of the car.  The subframe and unibody are both bad as determined by two businesses [redacted]'s of Mentor and [redacted]'s Garage of Painesville and those two items are considered two major issues that were missed. Mike  has for the most part has treated me good until this as to why I kept bringing my cars there. In reference to the reply dated 9/21/16 it stated if he feels the a/c procedure wasn't explained to him properly you'll gladly refund the money. I couldn't accept that because the wording of that is simply not true. I did fully understand the procedure as it was written in the email I received. As for my desired resolution to this matter if Lakeside Certified Automotive feels they treated me wrong and want to refund any money that's clearly up to them.

Mr [redacted] brought his vehicle to us for an oil change. He had just purchased the vehicle and asked us to just give it a quick look over. Evidently Mike must have missed the rust in the rear of the car. For this I apologize. I have offered to refund your money. That evidently is not enough of a solution to this dispute. I am at a loss for what it is that will solve this issue.

The subframes on the [redacted] in this area of the country are rusty. We replace them all the time. The cost of a used rust free subframe from down south with new lower control arms and labor runs about $800.00. This is not a reason to junk the vehicle if the rest of it is in good condition. I have never seen one fail completely with no notice. Most customers notice a noise or looseness in the steering and drive them to us for replacement. If he feels the car does not warrant a $800.00 repair then I cannot help him with this matter. Dale D[redacted]Lakeside Certified Auto

Regards,
[redacted]  I read the response from the company and it's their way from getting away from the truth. I knew the only way to find an a/c leak is to add freon with dye I'm not disputing that. So again I did know about the procedure I'm disputing Mike NOT telling me the truth about the inspection of the underneath of the car of which should have resulted in me NOT having the a/c serviced/checked for a leak. That's not what happened here if Mike actually inspected the underneath of the car would have known the subframe and unibody were in bad shape. Two other companies [redacted]'s of Mentor and [redacted]'s Garage of Painesville told me the truth about the defects underneath the car but Lakeside Certified Automotive tech Mike didn't tell me the truth and that's the reason for my complaint. Furthermore the company was notified by email and choose not to respond until after a complaint was filed.  The company has never had a complaint filed in twenty years  means absolutely nothing and has no bearing on the validity of my complaint. The employee should of thought about what he was doing wrong and there wouldn't be a complaint.
