We looked at a Ford Explorer and asked for the priceWhen given the price (31,900), I countered with a lower price(31,00) and they approved itI asked if they could include Headrest DVD players for the price, and was told yesOn the day we went to sign papers to purchase the car, the General Sales Manager, Tom *** denied installing the DVD players and the price had gone back to the original price and he would not agree to the original price we agreed onHe did agree to come down $but not to install the DVD'sI purchased the Explorer on July 11, and on July the transmission went outThe service/parts department is horrible at returning phone calls and when they did, it was all liesI was told "We are working on it", "Jamie is on the floor, he will call you back", or I was put on hold for 5-minutes and then disconnectedAfter several weeks and multiple weekly phone calls, I was told several different things that they "think" could be wrong and the "explorer is connected to computer and tests are being ran on it"After weeks of the vehicle being in their shop, I told my salesman and the shop manager, Jamie that I did not want the vehicle back and asked what my options were to get out of the dealThey said once it was fixed, I could trade it inI filed a complaint with Ford Motor Company hoping Ford would purchase the vehicle backNo luck, Ford denied my request but did say they would help me get the vehicle repaired in a timely mannerHA! weeks and days later, I get a phone call that my car is readyIt has now been weeks and days, and Lakeside will not give me a straight response as to what I can do to trade this vehicle back or if they will re-purchase the vehicle and refund my down payment
