Taken from conversation with consumer (This is not verbatim) The business sent a guy named Jimmy to paint the porch He did not paint with the grain of the wood, he painted across it and it looks that way When I mentioned it to him, he said he was just sent here and done what he was told to do Also when they originally did the job, they took the old plank off my porch and said they were garbage, when they weren't cause I still have some of them Then they gave me very bad and cheap ply woodI feel that since I'm elderly, the business attempted to take advantage of me

Mrs. [redacted] was very difficult to work for. She harangued our carpenter Mike every day about how we took advantage of her on the previous job we had done for her (a garage roof in 2012) and how we were ripping her off again. He finally couln't take it anymore and didn't want to go back. I had to...

re-arrange schedules to get Dan over to finish the job. She continued badgering Dan, but he stayed and completed the work. We could not understand why she would hire us a second time if she felt we took advantage of her the first time. Because of this, she is correct in stating there were some delays in completing the project, which also caused our company to incur additional expenses in finishing the job. However, we cleaned up every day and left materials and some scraps in an organized area. We finished and she seemed finally happy and paid us. We generally advise our porch floor customers that the porch will require re-painting in a year, since tongue and groove kiln-dried wood will still shrink slightly sometimes after the first year. With all the confusion surrounding this job, I do not know if she was so advised.  I went to her house and inspected the porch floor. The job looks very good, but there are some slight cracks that would benefit from another coat of paint with a little wood filler in one or two of the more stubborn cracks. We will reach out to her and offer her this service at no charge if she will let us do it. I don't believe a 50% refund for aggravation is appropriate, as there was quite a bit of stress and frustration incurred by my carpenters and staff as well.

As the homeowner attests, our painter Jim went back to her house, filled any cracks and blemishes and painted the floor again. Once the floor has been painted twice, (which we did last spring), the direction of the paint roller is inconsequential because the wood grain should no longer be able to be seen. The wood that she says we took from her is the original porch flooring that was removed when we installed the new floor. (She accused us of trying to sell the old flooring.) The wood she says she still has is the old flooring we pulled out of the dumpster and put in her garage to appease her. The poor quality plywood plywood she says we used is actually 5/4x4" tongue and groove pine porch flooring which is commonly used for porch floors. Once again, we will reach out to this customer and see if she would like us to revisit the work site in the Spring 2017 and, if she feels it is warranted, we will paint the entire porch floor for her again.

June 4, 2015Revdex.comRE : [redacted]Revdex.com Complaint 10 [redacted])Dear Complaint Handler,Upon receipt of this complaint we reached out to Ms. [redacted]by phone. I explained to her that back in 2000 her grant specificationscalled for re-shingling the house and no money wasavailable for a roof tear...

off; we had to follow the bid specificationsIn 15 years she never had a roof leak, but was only concernedshe may have a leak in the future. I stopped by the house andlooked at the roof. She has an IKO 20 year 3-tab roof shingleinstalled. It is actually in good condition, except for twoareas where a tree has been rubbing against the roof .I offered to replace the shingles for her in those two areasas a courtesy , and she- agreed . The next day the workers repairedher roofing and it now appears that she will easily get anothereight or ten years life out of this roof systemSincerely,[redacted] , Owner
