Bad place to be
I used to work there as assistant manager years ago. One hot summer day Alex fired me because I told him the horses can't go out on a trail ride until they cool down and drink water because they were dripping with sweat. Alex said to me "what am I supposed to do with the customers waiting to go on trail?" I told him to tell them to either wait or come back later and how I will not stand by and watch these horses be overworked and abused. Then he said, "good there's the gate, leave!" He never even paid me for the hrs I put in before I got fired and when I asked him about my money he denied me my pay. He owes me $200. He robbed me and lied to me about everything. He's nothing but a greedy, money-hungry degenerate. He was originally a real estate agent when he first bought the stables around 2005 or 2006 and literally told me, "I need all the help I can get with this place because I have no idea what I'm doing." At the time I was certified in large animal care horse science and management and had 2 years of training at BOCES. Alex didn't like the fact that I had professional training in the equestrian field and that I knew a lot more than him. After he fired me I couldn't afford to board my horse there anymore and a friend of mine overheard him telling one of his colleagues that he's going to take my horse from me and take her to auction. She was a very old horse with severe back issues called lordosis and if she went to auction she'd wind up in a slaughter pen or worse. So I called millions of horse rescues all over the country and finally got in touch with a rescue in Tennessee. The guy in charge got in touch with a more local horse rescue upstate NY and they came down and helped me rescue my horse from that nasty place and trailered her upstate to a retirement farm where she lived out the rest of her days grazing and relaxing. Alex is a bad man. He has no heart. Before he bought the place it was rundown and not so attractive to look at but the atmosphere was friendly and very genuine. It was my home away from home until alex destroyed that. The facility looks a lot better now but the atmosphere is fake and greedy. Looks are deceiving. The photo I posted is of me, my horse and the horse rescue woman from upstate NY who helped me save her from Lakewood stables in 2006 (now called ny equestrian center) and trailered her upstate to the retirement farm. This woman truly was my savior and guardian angel!

All they care about is money. They don't know how to act like human beings. It's disgusting!

Review: I had my daughter riding at this facility and all we got was the run around The owner Alex wants to take your money and tells you either you lease the horse or your not guarantee to ride that horse all the time . I had to pay thousands of dollars while personal preferred students rode for free . The management there does not pick up the phone , you literally have to drive there in order to speak to someone . They make up prices as they go along . The horses are not properly cared for and when your child excels they have no horses to ride because they either hurt from trainers beating on them or broke from students that should not be riding or students who are not proper for the horse . We were promised that it was a show barn and they do tons of competition Every time we got ready for a show they pulled out for reasons such as The owner is not making enough money to take only three kids to show or Not enough students signed up.. So they take your money to practice and lesson numerous times a week and when it's show time it's always a NO

My daughter decided to leave and try other places and her name was bad mouthed all over the horse community . They have taken a lot of money but never did what was promised They should be ashamed of how there management texts there clients with nasty texts and how they unwelcome a child .. Everyone should know this about this money hungry business that does nothing for your childDesired Settlement: I just want the money that I paid for lease that was $1200/month and all the lessons I paid for to have my daughter train and promised shows and never once showed

I also want the public to see about this business

Since 2006 I've been exploiting them and how they cheat their customers. I will not stop spreading the word about them. They crossed the wrong person and I will do everything in my power to shut them down.
