Apparently more work has been taken on than can be accomplished in the hours the owner chooses to work.? Everything Mr [redacted] alleges is trueWe prepared his return correctly but, without his direction prior to transmitting the return, we had prepared the return depreciating his capital improvements as is normally the custom It wasn't until after he had reviewed and approved the return & we had transmitted the return that he decided he wanted to take all of the deductions he could in the current year We advised him that we would amend his return & do that for no charge but it would be done after the rush of tax season was over Currently, we are working on backlogged clients who are on extensions & are of a higher priority than the amending of a return that has been filed, accepted & who has already met their filing requirement Once we have completed the extended clients, we will be able to process his amendment The extended clients are at risk for penalties Mr [redacted] amendment does not provide any risk, so in our judgement, he is not the highest priority work to be done at this timeOur sincerest apologies to Mr [redacted] He does have the right to want it done NOW, but we are just not able to complete it NOW for the reasons stated above
