And even though his lawsuit was dismissed based on the bogus opinions of totally bias medical review panel members, and a legal technicality, he ain't nevar backin down from his claims against both the lakeview regional medical center for their total failure to provide him with a safe enviornment in which to recover from his coronary bypass surgery, and nurse ray jennings' abusive brhavior!

Review: My husband used the emergency services of Lakeview Regional Medical Center on 9/18/13. He is insured with Medicare through Humana. We received a bill from LRMC. It included a $65 co-pay, and excluded charges which Humana states were either paid according to the negotiated rate of services or supplies which are not considered reasonable or necessary under original Medicare payment standards. Not understanding my rites, I began sending $25 a month to keep my credit in good standing. Later, when I was reviewing my "explanation of benefits" (EOB), I realized I was being wrongfully billed. By this time I sent LRMC four payments of $25. I started verbal and written correspondence to resolve this matter. LRMC requested that I send them a copy of the EOB. I complied with their request. At first they continued to bill me, but after a couple of months, the bill stopped. I called many times to check the status. Everytime I call, I am told that the account is under review. This matter shouldn't take several months to be resolved. LRMC is wrongfully holding my money and is keeping my account it what seems to be a permanent status of "under review". On 7/11/14 I spoke with [redacted] at LRMC. He called Humana and said that we owe our co-pay and the excluded charges of $433. I spoke to [redacted] at Humana after. She told me "By law the provider (LRMC) whom has a contract with Humana to accept Medicare guidelines CAN NOT bill the patient for more than what is contracted between the facility and the provider. The excluded charges must be written off by the hospital because they have agreed and accepted the terms of the Medicare Guidelines." She called this Balance Billing. Balance Billing is when a provider tries to bill the consumer the difference between what the health insurance reimburse and what the provider charges. It is unethical, and in most states, illegal. I sent a detailed email to Mr. [redacted] explaining this. He never replied. I called today for an upate- Under Review!Desired Settlement: I request the claim be changed from Under Review to Settled with a refund due to the patient of no less than $35. I sent four payments totally $100. I do not recall if the ER co-pay was paid at time of services. I will give them the benefit of a doubt that I did not pay the $65 co-pay at that time. I have invested much time and effort in settling this matter. The billing dept has caused much unjustified stress on my husband that can agitate his medical condition.
