Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Dear MsGasser This communication is to reply to the letter send by your office in May6, This letter contain information from the place we purchase our car in Pennsylvania which describe, from the dealer point of view, the situation regarding our vehicleWe do not believe this letter is accurate in its content, also we kept in mind the person writing this letter is a sales man very good with words. First, I was not offered n extended warranty from Lakeview Resale And if document was singed he did not mentioned at allSecond, we did went to the sales man regarding car problems before the warranty was overThis receipt we will send by mail to youBefore the warranty was over we want twice and they told us that the leak of oil was fixed also the muffler was loose and the emend it because was not fixed eitherLater we went to the dealer to confirm the car was in good condition to travel to Colorado, which we also have receipt for thistwo hour later from start our trip the transmission of the car stop workingSince November the car is fixing in *** *** ** *** *** *** ***We spent 2,and the car is not fixed and they told us the car will not work again because of computer, motor, and transmission problems, but they do not return our money back. In this situation we are the consumer and it has not been fair the way this people has take advantage of us, also our credit has been affected because of this situationIn the response of the dealer there was a comment regarding our economical status, which was very low and rude from this company to talk about this, but wee want to clarify our economical situation in Colorado is not the same as in PennsylvaniaWe are not asking for nothing that is not right, we want the dealer to respond for the car or a trade with the same lender, and to *** *** to give back the money we pay because they never could fix the car.Than You,*** ***

September 3, 2015ID# [redacted]Dear [redacted],This is reference to a complaint filed by Ms. [redacted] on Aug. 25™ 2015, # [redacted].I am writing to inform you that Lakeview Resale has made a good faith effort in resoiving the issues with [redacted].We have addressed [redacted] complaints and...

resolved them to her satisfaction. I spoke to [redacted] and she said, she will contact your agency to confirm that this has been resolved.Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused all parties.Regards, Gerald M[redacted]ownercc : [redacted]

Ms [redacted]:Re: ID [redacted]Thank You for the opportunity to respond to Mr. [redacted] concerns in a mediated exchange. I have read the complaint and would like to explain what transpired. Date of Purchase was 4/4/2016 Mr. [redacted]’s trade in vehicle was paid off on 05-09-2016. Any money paid by Mr....

[redacted] after the deal was made with Lakeview should be returned to him by [redacted] Bank because Lakeview paid the amount owed on the trade-in. Trade payoffs normally take between 10-30 days to process. In this instance there was a problem with the payoff check as the original payoff check sent was not signed. Naturally, it was returned to Lakeview. Mr. [redacted] contacted me on Saturday May 7th and inquired about his payoff. It was a Saturday and because our accounting office is closed weekends and there was no one present for me to ask questions I explained to Mr. [redacted] that I would be able to research his payoff on Monday when Mandy, the young lady whom handles accounts payable, would return. We closed out our conversation with the understanding that Monday would be a follow up and I would be able to give him more exact information at that timeIt was not an hour later that his lady friend and an older gentleman came into the dealership and they were really agitated with me because they were demanding copies of checks and paperwork and I had to refuse them.Under store privacy policy as well as CFPB rules I advised them that I could not comment on the deal and that I had already spoken to my customer and that everything was already worked out. The young women told me that my conversation with Mr. [redacted] never took place and that I was a liar. There was nothing to gain by arguing with them so at that point I asked them to leave and return with Mr. [redacted] or a written letter from him excusing me from the privacy policy.Right after they left I sent three (3) texts to the only two numbers I had for Mr. [redacted]. (See attached transcript of texts sent from my phone). I was frustrated that somehow Mr. [redacted] told them I refused to speak to him when I did not but I would not classify the texts as “nasty”. These are the texts that Mr. [redacted]s refers to. Apparently, the three text messages that I sent shows up as several smaller texts on older or less sophisticated mobile phones. One of the numbers that I had as a contact for Mr. [redacted] was apparently his wife’s phone. This would be the exact same text that I sent to his other phone. See attached. These were the only messages I sent. I asked pointed question to Mr. [redacted] about why he would lie about a conversation we had an hour earlier claiming said conversation never took place as well as instructions for him to make a written statement excusing me from the privacy rules if there were to be future visits from his family/friends. Several attempts to reach Mr. [redacted] by phone were unsuccessful. As far as repairs are concerned Mr. [redacted] has a very comprehensive service contract (see attached) that has been and should continue to be used if he experiences any mechanical/ electrical failures. He did call shortly after his car was purchased and it was discovered that there was a leaking valve cover gasket allowing small amounts of oil to burn on the exhaust manifold. This problem was diagnosed and fixed by dealership personnel at no cost to Mr. [redacted]. The electrical problems that were changing his dash from English units to metric was simply a low charge on the battery, possibly from a courtesy light being left on, etc.. We fully charged the system and have not heard of any additional problems from him again on the matter. There will be times in most people’s car ownership where the vehicle will require repairs, sometimes quite expensive. We addressed all issues as soon as we realized a problem existed. If I purchased a vehicle and I smelled burning leather I too would be concerned. Again, as soon as we were made aware of the problem again we successfully addressed it. The valve cover gaskets were changed with no expense to the customer. Used vehicles break down. They are machines with moving parts. All we can do is address the problems as they become prevalent. Mr. [redacted] had the foresight to purchase a superior extended service contract that will help defray some of the cost associated with automobile ownership. In closing, I would like to remind Mr. [redacted] we remain committed to helping him though any of his automobile needs. We hope this explanation from the dealership point of view helps all parties to understand that Lakeview has done whatever necessary, whenever possible to carry out our fiduciary duties.Respectfully Submitted,  Michael B[redacted] on behalf Lakesale Resale Company

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I have tried a few times to respond/retract this complaint as the owner of Lakeview Resale did indeed address the issues with me; however, I could not find an option to do so until now.

Review: PURCHASED MY VEHICLE ON APRIL 4, 2016. TEMP WAS BELOW FREEZING. 1ST OFF BOTH DOORS WOULD NOT UNLOCK. THE MORNING OF THE 6TH OF THAT MONTH IT RAINED AND THE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE GOT SOAKED . THIS A JEEP WRANGLER SOFT TOP. DEALER OWNER TOLD ME IN FRONT OF SOME OF HIS EMPLOYEES THAT HE WOULD MAKE IT RIGHT AND FIX IT. IT WAS STATED TO ME THAT THE JEEP DID NOT GO TO THE SERVICE BAY PRIOR TO GIVING TO SALES DEPT. THE DOOR LOCKS GOT FIXED IMMEDIATLY. TOOK MANY PHONE CALLS AND TRIPS TO HIS DEALERSHIP TO GET HIM INVOLVED TO FIX LEAKING ROOF. ON APRIL 20TH I FINALLY GOT AHOLD OF HIM AT THE DEALERSHIP AND SAID MY APPOINTMENT TO GET THE LEAK FIXED WAS THAT DAY. I WORK 3RD SHIFT SO ON MY WAY TO WORK I DROVE BY THE DEALERSHIP AND MY JEEP WAS STILL AT THE DEALERSHIP, NOT OUT GETTING FIXED. HE HAD THE JEEP TILL APRIL 29. LEFT THE NEXT MORNING ON VACATION AND ON THE FOLLOWING MAY 2ND IT HAD RAINED THAT NIGHT AND WHEN I WENT OUT TO JEEP IN MORNING THE INSIDE WAS SOAKING WET, AGAIN. GOT BACK FROM VACATION ON MAY 8TH EARLY MORNING AND MONDAY MORNING WENT TO DEALERSHIP TO TELL HIM HIS GUY WHO WAS TO FIX LEAK DID NOT DO ANYTHING TO FIX LEAK. AS OF THIS MORNING OF MAY 17TH HE HAS AVOIDED AND/OR REFUSED TO TAKE OR RETURN A PHONE CALL OR BE AVAILABLE IN PERSON. I ALSO TOOK THE JEEP TO THE JEEP DEALERSHIP ON PEACH STREET TO ASK WHAT COULD BE WRONG AND WAS TOLD EITHER THE SOFT TOP HAD SHRUNK OR THE FRAME FOR THE SOFT TOP WAS BENT.Desired Settlement: REPLACE SOFT TOP AND SOFT TOP FRAME.

Review: I bought a car from Lake view resale and traded in my old car. Lake view resale advertised in there ad that they would pay off my old car loan. They told me it would take 10-15 days to pay off it has been 40 days now and my old car loan still hasn't been payed off yet. Iv'e made two car payments on my old car loan so that way my credit score would go down the drain. I got a hold of the bank that has my new car loan and they told me they gave lake view a check to pay off my old car loan. Lake view still has neglected to pay off my old car loan. When I called lake view about this problem they did nothing. So I told my wife and grandfather what happened. They both went down to the dealership to talk to them about it since I was working. They called me and my wife a liar about the whole thing. Later that day the guy in charge of financing sent my wife 6 nasty text messages and sent me 8 nasty text messages.

Also after buying my car from them within two days later the car was giving off a burning leather smell while I was driving. Told the dealership about it they did nothing about. A week later the car starting to smoke under the hood. The reason why it was smoking was because of a gas leak onto the engine. The car also has been experiencing some electrical problems as well like when I start the car it goes from miles to kilometers and back and forth when ever my and I drive the car.Desired Settlement: I want a refund to the two car payments I made. Also I want the dealership to pay off my old car loan. Most of all I wan them to take back there car I bought because all I have been having is nothing but constant problems with the car and the dealership. I want nothing to do with a car that is having constant problems and will eventually make me broke.

I bought my car from Lakeview resale with a 30 day or 1000 mile warranty 50% coverage after the first couple days I noticed my dashboard shaking and I felt like my transmission wasn't shifting right so I took it back to them within the first week and they told me oh just go put a gas treatment in your car and one of the guys even drove around in it and claimed they felt nothing wrong but seen the shaking obviously. So I do the gas treatment fill my tank up blah blah and it made no change to the cars performance and it got worse because it was making a huge booming sound when I put it in reverse so when I finally had time to take it back and was able to get an appointment conveniently after my warranty was up all the sudden they look at it and now I need a motor mount ?? Funny because before I just needed a gas treatment right...the girl that works in the service department tells me that she knows for a fact that my specific car didn't go through any kind of inspection like they usually do but of course the sales guy tells me it's been checked thoroughly.....so they end up doing the work to my car and fix the motor mount and still charge me 120 dollars and I drive off the lot and literally 20 minutes later my car is still acting up when I put it in reverse and shifting wrong which I stressed to them I feel like it's something in my transmission and I specifically asked the mechanic before I drove off and he says nope transmission is fine nothing wrong with it.....so I take it back again and they end up setting me up with an appointment to get my cars computer reprogrammed because they think it will fix the harsh shifting (but remember there's no problem with my tranny right according to them) at the Ford dealership which they paid for everything because the owner agreed to because ive been complaining for months at this point and I go and pick my car up from them and still nothing is fixed... so I call once again and the guy in the service department tells me at this point they don't have the equipment to handle what needs done with my car and to take it to a TRANSMISSION SHOP and get an estimate and we'll go from there. I take it to Automatic Transmissions and they guy said I'm going to need a whole new transmission for a car that I [redacted] bought at the time was only 5 months prior to my purchase so I call Lakeview once again and told them and have never once received a call back. I thought these were honest people and I could trust them but it was all just a fake [redacted] front to get my money. I would never recommend anyone to go there ever. Go ahead and reply to this [redacted] but I havent had a call back from you guys not once and plz lie everyone there knows you guys [redacted] me over and your all full of crap I can't even drive my $12000 car now until I somehow come up with money for a whole new transmission thanks alot !! You guys should be paying for whatever needs fixed in my transmission since I brought it back the first week and told you I felt like my tranny was acting funny but you led me onto a million other things like oh get a gas treatment oh it's ONLY your motor mount oh WELL PAY FOR THE DEALERSHIP TO REPROGRAM YOUR COMPUTER but now that it comes down to me needing my whole tranny replaced the owner doesn't want to do [redacted]. Funny right??? I will make sure none of my friends or family or anyone that mentions you guys to NEVER go to Lakeview Resale !

Bought a van, preapproved for a loan at 5 percent interest. Brought van home and got a call 2 days later that the loan fell through. So Mike got me a different loan. He spoke with my wife, and was asked if the interest rate had changed. He said no he wouldn't do that to us.
So I met him in Harborcreek to resign, noticed it was at 7 percent.told him I would find my own financing and refuse to sign.He said that it was ok to sign but he will not file, and will rip up the papers if I get approved elsewhere. So I file at PSECU and get a voucher for him to fill out pre approved.2 days later I get coupons from Northwest with that 7 percent rate. Now I have to file a stop payment form and pay interest on a stopped loan. Also notified by PSECU that I am paying 3000 over bluebook.

Review: They sale this car to us in August 2014 in Erie PA with a lot of problems. We went back 4 times to check the car and has problems with oil leak, pipe broke and in October we moved from Erie to Colorado and in our way in Ohio the transmission stop working. The car is repairing since November in [redacted], and in April 8, 2015they give us the car back but it was not fix and they do not want to give us the 2,483.00 that we spent . In top of that, I am still paying 317.00 monthly for a car that I can use since November 2014 because Lakeview sale me a bad car. I am stuck with the car and the monthly payment to the lender for a car that not work and they cant find what it has.Desired Settlement: I would like a replacement for my car and also a refund for the money that I have spend in repairing. I am not asking for something I do not deserve at this point, because at this time it is clear to me I have been robed and they commit fraud selling a car in that condition.

APRIL 30, 2015[redacted] purchased a 2008 Nissan Sentra with 101,446 on March 3rd 2014. The purchase price for the vehicle was $9618.40 plus tax, title and fees for a sum total of $10,400. She was offered and she declined to purchase an extended warranty/ service contract. From March3, 2014 through October of 2014 we were not made aware of any issues that [redacted] was having. She did call me ([redacted], Sales & Finance Specialist] from I believe it was Colorado in October explaining that they were moving across country and their vehicle broke down during their cross country trip. I respectfully explained that their 30 day powertrain warranty had expired 6 months ago. She exclaimed that it was our responsibility to fix her transmission because we sold her the car. I explained to her respectfully that those were unrealistic expectations. I told her that we had explained the limited dealer warranty in great detail and even read aloud our "Be Advised" statement. It is a statement that is read aloud and signed by all parties in EVERY disclosure. A copy of it is attached (exhibit A], 1 have also included a copy of the Federal Trade Commission "Buyers Guide" (exhibit B]Please understand as I have tried to explain to [redacted] this same concept. We are never happy to hear when one our valued customers are experiencing any type of hardship. I know [redacted] lives paycheck to paycheck just like most of us and $2500 is an extremely expensive amount of money. At the same time, we hope that [redacted] would understand that we must draw a line where our responsibility ends and someone else's begins. In this case we made it clear that we would stand behind this vehicle for a period of 30 days in a very limited capacity. We have included copies of the signed documentation as a reminder of the conversation that took place during the delivery and disclosure. As far as the monthly payments and the $2500 in repairs. Those issues are with the repair facility who fixed her car, which I am sure she must have authorized, and the lender she makes her payment to.In closing this response I would like to remind [redacted] that we are sympathetic to her plight but we operate a fair and honest business with a record of the same.Respectfully Submitted[redacted] for [redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Review: My son and I purchased 2 cars from this company. My son, thankfully, has had very little issues with his car. I, on the other hand, have had several issues with my car, including a missing lug nut, a broken lug nut bolt, interior lights that their mechanic broke and a window that works when it wants to. Lakeview has offered to fix these items, but they want to keep my car all day without giving me a loaner car so I can still work. My main issue, however, rests with Mike from their finance department. The first problem is the fact that my first car payment was supposed to be 8-12-15. There was a paper signed to that effect. Mike pulled a bait and switch and conveniently "lost" his copy of the paper and failed to put my copy in the envelope with the rest of my papers, resulting in my having a late payment because he turned the paperwork in to Northwest bank stating my first payment was due 7-12-15. The next issue is the fact that my temporary registrations on these 2 vehicles are about to expire and Mike refuses to give me the permanent registrations and titles. These vehicle purchases were never registered with the DMV and Mike stated that he did not have to give me the registration stickers (or anything else) until the temporary tags are expired.Desired Settlement: I want the repairs done on my car in a timely manner around my work schedule. I want compensated for the car payment for 7-12-15 that I was not supposed to have to make. I want the titles and registrations removed from Lakeview Resale's name and put into mine as they should have already been. Personally, given all the complaints I've heard about this company, and Mike in particular, I'd like to see the company shut down so that no one else has to deal with their shady practices. If I am not given satisfaction in this matter, I will not hesitate to pursue it to the fullest extent of the law.
