I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meHowever, when we contacted the business they applied that they had every right to keep the money and that they would have to “try” and get approval for a refund.I appreciate they returned my money, but I believe the complaint help with there decision

Mrs*** applied for one of our rental properties on Tuesday, April 10th at 8:pm. Mr*** entered his application on Wednesday, April 11, at 9:amJust to clarify, all correspondance have been with Mrs***After going through our approval process, on
Thursday, April 12th, our leasing agent called Mrs***'s to notify her that she and her husband have been approved to rent our rental propertyMrs*** was pleased and wished to move forward with a move in date of May 16th, 2018.Our company requires a "Deposit to Hold" within hours of being approved as well as "Deposit to Hold" form to be signedBecause Mrs*** wanted to pay their deposit to hold the property on linea "tenant portal was set up for them to do so, and the "Deposit to Hold" form was sent to Mrs*** via emailOn Friday, April 13th, a payment in the amount of $was paid but the form was not returnedMrs*** said that she would get that over to us over the weekend.We did not hear from Mror Mrs*** until Monday, April 16thand because it is our policy that the funds received to secure the property for the new tenants are forfeited if they end up backing out, our leasing agent had to get approval to refund the their moneyMrZouza made his complaint wiminutes to the Revdex.com, not giving us the opportunity to let him know that we understood and because 1- we had other applicants wanting the property and 2- we did not have their "Deposit to Hold" form signed and returned, that their deposit would be refunded and it was. We understand the panic they both must have felt with the sell of their house falling through, and wish them all the bestWe feel this complaint is unwarranted. I sent her the form at about 2:on a Friday afternoon, she paid the deposit but then backed out in a message before we even got in the office on Monday morningThere was not even a chance to follow up with her to return the form.Mr S
