Review: Called Road Squad who relayed a service call on 8/**/2013 at [redacted] to Full Service Auto in [redacted]... Service man was told it was a radiator hose that was needed to be replaced on the service call and to make sure he brought one... Service man assured Road Squad and Company dispatcher that he had the hose and knew exactly what to do .. he had changed many of them.... Also told company dispatcher that it was a 3 hour minimum at $60.00 an hour... this is all recorded on the Road Squad phone lines...

The service man showed up at the disable truck WITHOUT the radiator hose ... taped the radiator hose... truck only got close to 30 -40 miles down the road and radiator hose blew again...luckily within a mile or two of the exit to their repair shop... Radiator hose was retrieved next day, installed on the truck (second service call ?)

and sent on their way.... Later a bill was presented to Road Squad for $2041.77 .... the hourly service rate was billed at $125.00 per hour ... with 10 hours service....

If needed, [redacted] - or [redacted] at Road Squad Connect - ###-###-#### for any details to collaborate my complaint.Desired Settlement: Reasonable bill for service performed as requested and falsely represented by Full Service Auto, credit for portion of bill that was self inflicted by Full Service Auto due to not having part as required and requested on original service call. HOurly rate of $60.00 needs to be honored.

Response:

[redacted],

Per first recording call came in at 5:13 pm where we advised Road Squad that there is a minimum charge of 3 hrs at $125.00 per hour for a total with tax of $408.00 at no time did the our dispatcher confirm that we had the part in stock as your dispatcher did in the second recording to the customer " sounds like he may have in stock".

We assisted a stranded Truck driver with emergency road side assistance with our mobile diesel mechanic. He valuated the situation by this time it was after 5 pm and keep in mind that most dealers are closed by 5.

We went out the next day and made numerous trips to located the hose. We suggested to the driver to have it towed in, which would probably have been costly which is why he wanted to have road side assistance.

We believe we went out of our way to assist this motorist and we have an excellent record with no complaints. For [redacted] to state that she will no longer be referring customers to us is unfounded and we wish to speak with her regarding this. In lieu of the above with a possible misunderstanding we would like to work it out please contact us we left a message for [redacted] to do the same.

Best regards,

Review: [redacted] had my car on November [redacted] when car had dead battery and was towed by Lakeville Heavy Duty Towing to their facility. On [redacted], November [redacted], [redacted] from Lakeville called to give estimate of service that was needed-replace battery, battery cable, fuse and relay for a price of between $300 and $400. [redacted] was directed to proceed with the work. On [redacted], November [redacted] when my [redacted] called to see if the car was ready, he was told the cost would be $734.44. When we called to complain about the exorbitant increase we were told that [redacted] was not authorized to give an estimate, however he was the one who called us. When we told them that we were contacting the Revdex.com and filing a complaint, they called us back and told us that since we were filing a complaint, they would now only accept cash for payment, not check or credit card.Desired Settlement: We will pay up to $400 for the service rendered as quoted.

Response:

After careful review of the invoice enclosed both parts and labor are listed, while it is true that [redacted] gave them an idea of what it might entail but he discussed directly with who we believed to be the owner he advised them that additional time was required due to the vehicle having electrical issues and it was verbally agreed that we may continue. it took several hours to troubleshoot the problem. the total cost is fair and reasonable and this matter was fully discussed in person with who we believe is the car owner. I object to submission of this complaint by [redacted] for she was not involved with the on going process of this repair and or authorization related to it. resulting in the final invoice. Although we appreciate their concerns and we would always respond to Revdex.com for it's a good source for both business and customers alike this matter should not become part of our records in lieu of these fact.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The case has not been resolved. With response to the business's response, these are the facts: 1. Now they agree that [redacted] gave the estimate when on the phone to my son and husband, they told us that [redacted] had NO authority to give an estimate. 2. The estimate was for $300-$400 and was given AFTER not before they knew the problem; the actual charge was over $730! 3. The complaint was submitted by me because I am the owner of the car; my son [redacted] drives the vehicle; I spoke with [redacted]. We both had involvement. 4. My son was told by the company that since we had a complaint, we could only pay in cash as they would not accept our credit card for payment although they do from anyone else. 5. My son picked up the car and paid cash as he had no alternative and did not want to risk incurring storage fees. We have never filed any type of complaint ever-any reputable business that has ever given us an estimate has always honored the estimate within the original estimate. If further costs would be incurred, the businesses always contacted us before proceeding. This occurrence is beyond anything that is reasonable. We would like this case to remain open as we think a refund of the difference would be fair to settle the complaint. Thank you for you help and understanding. Please contact me if you have further questions.

Sincerely,[redacted]

Review: I called Lakeville towing service to jumpstart my truck. When I called them they said it will cost $188.81. I was satisfied with this price, but they came and charged me $488.81 for their service. They didn't even give a receipt to my driver. After one hour, I needed an airbag for my truck. I called them again and told them to send a mechanic with airbags. They sent an unprofessional mechanic with no airbags that I asked for. Once again, they charged me $488 without my authorization. Lakeville towing service charged me a total of $976.81 to only jumpstart my truck. I am always glad to pay for satisfied services. However, I was not satisfied with their service. No service was provided for my truck by Lakeville. They did jumpstart my truck, but they charged more than what I agreed to pay. For the second time, I received no service at all and they sent an unprofessional mechanic.Desired Settlement: Lakeville Heavy Duty Towing provided no service, and I don't want to pay for unprofessional mechanic. Lakeville customer service is also very rude, no respect for customers at all. They need to be clear for what they say on the phone and don't lie to customers. I agreed to pay $188.81 for this service. I am happy to pay this price. I want to get my money back from Lakeville towing service. I am ok to be charged $188.81, but I want the rest of the money to be returned to my account.

Review: I had contacted this shop on June [redacted] 2015 on about 1pm regarding a possible oil change in one of our 2015 [redacted] trucks, a $185,000 truck. Service guy told me they could perform the oil change, I had asked the price and he could not give me a quote or estimate. I assumed that the most we would pay will be around $250-$300 since we do oil changes every week on all of our trucks and that is the average price. My Driver arrived and they started the job without calling the owner or telling anyone what the cost will be. I received a text message from the driver that the amount was $503.47!! I was shocked, called the shop and they told me pay the bill or we are holding the truck and pay tomorrow we are leaving. Since it was almost 5 pm I ended up paying for the bill. I also contacted the police station in precinct * and told me to call DA office since there were numerous complains with this shop.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund of $300.00, this company needs further investigation

Response:

Dear Revdex.com;We received a call asking if we have availability for an oil change on a tractor. We told them sure we will accommodate your driver at no time did he asked us how much does it call. When the driver finally arrived late in the day we still accommodated the driver and got him in right away. We only stock [redacted] Oil which is one of the best oils to use on Heavy duty trucks like a tractor that does lots of mileage. We also replaced the oil filter and topped off his washer fluid at the drivers request. After all the services were rendered as we sent him the bill did the dispatch call the complain about the invoice. The driver had no issues with the services that were given and he took care of the payment with us not the dispatcher.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved becausePrior to sending trucks to any repairs it is our job to ask how much are the services, since this company already has other complaints from customers, not telling the owners of the cost but doing the job. [redacted] Oil is what our company have been using for the past years so we are very aware. The driver did also ask why the bill was so expensive but did not get an answer. Our drivers do not pay for repairs on the road, the payment was made by [redacted] because the shop said they are holding the truck hostage and locking it away until next day. We the company had no choice but to send our driver an EFS code for the full amount because he was already loaded with freight on trailer. I had spoken to the police amd was advised on numerous complaints against this company. Services are being performed without permission of owners and over pricing on services. I had spoken to a lady that works at this shop and told me she records every conversation and will listen to when I had called and asked about the pricing, after I told her to please do she hung up on me. Lakeville Service Station is defrauding customers and business owners by performing unauthorized repairs, charging whatever they want and holding equipment hostage.

Response:

Final response client states in his response that prior todoing any repairs it’s their job to ask how much for services. If that was thecase and we didn’t tell them the price then why did he come to us?We are not a Truck stop on the thruway that does oil changeslike [redacted].After services were rendered and I sent him the invoice didhe first try stating that he was told $350.00 at this time it was 4:30pm. Iadvised him if I have to listen to my recordings in order to verify that thiswas told to him that I will have to get back to him the next day and that meansI cannot release the vehicle. At no time did the driver complain, contrary he was happywith the turnaround time and services he was given. We are not refunding any monies. Especiallysince I never spoke with this person again and was given payment by the driver.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

We were never told the company would listen to the recordings, in fact when I told them to do so they hung up on us. They told us to pay the bill or truck is kept which is illegal. Any honest reputable truck dealership makes the customer aware of theservice and pricing. Our company performs all oil changes on our fleet at [redacted] dealership for $285.00. We are lied and all lies are being reported by this small guy truck shop. We have contacted the DA Office already and made complaints along with other companies against the service by this shady business.

Review: Truck broke down in Brooklyn, NY on 2/**/2015. Lakeville Towing agreed to tow the truck but would not give us a rate. We had no choice we were in a bad situation. We asked them to check it out and give us a rate to fix the truck. We heard nothing for two days. We called them. They said they were to busy to look at it. I called again after a week. They said they were just starting on it. I asked about storage and the rate. They told me there would be no storage because it was their fault it was sitting and not being looked at. They didn't know what the truck needed to give me a price yet. They call us on Thursday Feb [redacted] and said they fixed the truck. The bill was $10,745.55. After my shock I asked them to fax me a itemized invoice. I did not get it till the next day. I paid them With a Comcheck. They would not take credit card as advertised. Monday March [redacted] my driver went to their location to pick up the truck. We had to pay another $2,063.87 for storage for them to release the truck. The truck would not go into high gear when the driver got into NJ and could get up to speed. When the truck got bask that night I went over it. The shifter was broken. The clutch was not adjusted properly. Multiple bolts were loose. They even bent the floor in the truck.Desired Settlement: I would like about half my money back but doubt that will happen. This guy is a crook. I would be happy if he was out of business and could not rip anyone else off again.

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Lakeville Service Station regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because? Lakeville Service offered back the amount we paid for the storage if I removed all negative reporting from all the companies I reported to. I refused to sign the letter they sent me and did not take the money. I want everyone to know about my experience with this company. I am still having problems with the truck they didn't fix right for way to much money.

Review: HelloThe trailer went to the shop to replace a broken bearing or hub. We were told the hub is broken We ordered on 4/**/14 We were told that it would be fixed on 4/**/14 Saturday. On 4/** we were told they didn't find the hub and that they would have the hub on Monday and they would fix it. On Monday we were told that someone went to pickup the hub and it would be done on Tuesday 4/**. On Tuesday we wee told that they had the hub and that they b=would need to send the Axle to the shop to get it fixed and it would take 48 hours before they would have the axle back and No estimates were given. On Friday 4/** we were told that they couldn't find the hub and now they have to put a whole new axle and they would have to order the axle which is $5000 for the parts and $3500 for the labor and it would be done next week.I told them I found the hub and told them their is no need to change the axle but they just wanted to change the whole axle without my permission but they said they had already ordered the new axle. Since my trailer was loaded with a load of US mail I had to switch the load into another trailer. They parked the trailer in front of a fire station and we tried to swap the load into another trailer the Fire department called the police and said they could not do that. Then the shop said they could swap the load with a forklift for $3000. I had no choice o I said okay but they wanted to charge upfront $9200 for the whole repair at the same time but I paid them $3000 plus $4000 and that day but my balance was $5233 left to pay. So they completed the repair on 5/** and they told me its going to be $3197 for the parts and extra labor. I sent my truck from California to pickup the truck I was willing to pay from my credit card but they wanted everything cash which was $8430. I even called the police to make a report but the police said they could not do anything about it .Desired Settlement: When the trailer is in California I had it checked out from a shop They told me the leveling valve is not replaced which is $410 also one air bag had no air and the brakes were catching fire because the work was not done properly. The new axle they put in does not belong to that trailer and most of the repairs was unnecessary also it would not cost $12,400 to change the axle So I really want to some kind of settlement on this so in the future they wont take advantage to any other person.
