In response to claim# [redacted] I was contacted by Mr [redacted] regarding a fire on his deckI went out to his homeand he showed me the scope by [redacted] Insurance CoI told him it was very lowIcontacted [redacted] and they said they would handle the difference with supplements.Mr [redacted] wanted me to start ASAPHe gave me his deductible amount of $500, plus$down payment We began the demolition and found several problemsThe olddecking was nailed with ring shanks and screwed with 2" star-headed screws that werefull of paintWhen we removed the old siding the tyveck was melted and one electricplug that no one saw was also melted (the box and wires.) We were told by [redacted] tosubmit an estimate (see attached).We finished all the demolition and haul to the dumpWe installed new decking, rail, thesiding, and replaced the electrical boxMr [redacted] then told me he wanted his painter to dothe painting***'s scope for the painting was $Mr***'s painter, [redacted] , gave a bid of $for the paintingI sent Mr [redacted] the attached estimate(# [redacted] ) to send to ***.We then had reached a stopping point, until we heard back from ***Approximatelyone week later, Mr [redacted] pulled me off the job completelyWe were never allowed tocomplete the project.Please note that even with the deductible and down payment we are in the hole severalthousand dollars for the amount of work we did complete.Mike M***Lakewood Restoration, Inc
