Review: I went in for treatment on the date of Friday October 16, 2015. Treatment was for cosmetic fillers in the lip area to add volume to the lips; and to the under eye area for removal of dark circles. I did not notice any difference, since she only placed product in my tear trough area I wanted it for my under eye bags for the volume loss that I have. She said I was not able to notice so much because she did not have enough product, I had mentioned if one syringe would be enough for both eyes, she stated YES; and clearly it had not been enough. She moved on to my lips, she needed the numbing to lose its effect so I can smile straight so she can fully see if my lips were even and use the remaining product. As she went to set the syringe down she poked herself on her right index finger with the syringe she had used on my lips through her glove. I noticed she kept squeezing her finger as she was explaining that she wanted the numbing to go away. Then I saw blood coming out of her finger, she then excused herself walked over to the sink, washed her hands, asked if I had any blood diseases, told her no and told me she poked herself with my syringe. She told me she was going to put a bandage on her finger. She came back in, the numbing effect had gone away, I was able to smile, and she used the same syringe with the remainder of the product on my lips! She did put a new set of gloves on and a bandage, but I feel there should be other steps involved since she punctured herself with my syringe and then used that syringe on me. Afterwords she showed me in the mirror how my lips looked, she did say they were swollen and that the swelling would go down which I am aware of because I have done this before. Woke up the next morning and noticed that my right eye area felt completely stiff and had pain underneath my eye. I was able to move my eye but it was painful. Took a before and after picture of my lips and there was no difference. Called there office first thing Monday 10/19/2015 told them about my concerns regarding my eye pain and my lips they were not able to get me in until Wednesday. They call me in the room she feels around says the product might have hit a nerve in the eye but Dr. S[redacted] is not in the office that day to see me. I explained to her I have had my lips done many times and the product has never not lasted 5 days she told me during my consult that this product was supposed to last me up to 9 months. She said she will talk to the Dr. and call me. Manager Calls me stating Dr. S[redacted] and Nurse had reviewed my pictures and Dr. was happy to offer me a 10% discount off my next syringe. I was puzzled, as to I did not want to purchase another syringe I wanted my problem fixed, told her I was unhappy with the results of my lips the product did not work, I was having major pain, stiffness in my right eye from the injection. Stated she would review this again with Dr. and give me a call tomorrow, I send their office an e-mail on 10/22/2015 I get a call stating she had a chance to talk to Dr. and if I am not happy with the way their office is ran that I can always go to another practice but the offer stillstands. I was extremely caught off guard by this message I just wanted the problem of their product not working on my lips fixed. I explained to Ashley again that 10% off a service does not help the pain under my eye, and I am dissatisfied with the way they handle the care of their patients. Finally I just asked her if she can please just have Dr. S[redacted] give me a call herself so I can explain what is going on. Dr. S[redacted] never returns my call, I decide to call the corporate office of the product I send them an e-mail regarding my situation. Someone calls me right away, she states due to some syringes not working for expiration dates, the shelf life they could have etc. They were willing to send Dr. S[redacted] another syringe at no charge or discounted, they just needed her to contact corporate with my reference number. I called Dr. S[redacted]s office I told them I talked to the corporation of the product they have a reference number for Dr. need her to call me so we can figure this out. I received no call, Finally Someone calls me back says Dr. Left for the day, if I could come in tomorrow 10/24/2015 to have Milay a different nurse look at me for the pain under my eye. I make the drive up there the following day, Milay comes in the room examines my eye, she states she could have hit a nerve. She looked at my photos for my lips she was not able to tell which ones were my before and which ones were my afters since they looked exactly the same. Then states I am going to talk to Dr. S[redacted] regarding my findings she also stated that Dr. S[redacted] wanted to talk to me personally but she wasnt in the office today. I dont understand why they kept scheduling on days when the Dr. was not in the office. Ashley says I should hear from them Monday or Tuesday. I hear nothing on Monday Im still experiencing eye pain, and Tuesday comes along by the afternoon I send them an e-mail saying I was expecting a call from Dr. Ashley calls me on 10/27/2015 stating Dr. was going to refund me $258 out of $1400. I receive a letter that is not certified dismissing as a patient. The letter also did not state that they can see me for emergencies (my eye pain) and that I go to a different office. I send their office an e-mail on Monday morning 11/02/2015 asking for them to fax my records they ignore my e-mail. I send them a second notice Tuesday stating I spoke to the medical board regarding my records they have 15 days to send my records. They sent me a medical records release form right away and sent it back to them, 1. They advertised a product that did not work. 2. They have not provided me with any kind of care regarding my eye pain and stiffness 3. They dismissed me as a patient not by certified mail and they did not give me 30 days notice to see them for emergencies 4. Proper care for sterilization when the nurse poked herself wDesired Settlement: 1. $1400-258.75 (already refunded)=$1141.252. Mileage for 2 check appointments Dr. S[redacted] was not there 38 miles each way from Nipomo to Morro Bay=152 miles
