I have been in the landscaping business for a number of yearsAbout two years ago I assumed clients from another company and began landscaping services for Ms*** *** of ***On several occasions I had sent invoices to Ms*** for services rendered at her property that she shares
with family membersOften she would tell me that her sister had paid the invoices when in fact that was not the caseThe invoices would go unpaid for several monthsAs in my practice, I continued to provide basic landscaping/snow removal services to Ms*** and re sent invoices for services providedMs*** then telephoned my office to discuss services provided and inquire about a payment the she claimed to have made in DecemberMs*** was informed that her December payment was reflected on the invoice at which time she informed me that she agreed with the current amount owed and will issue a check for the balanceAt no time did I nor anyone from my company demand payment from Ms***In fact she offered to pay my father who was performing snow removal services to the propertyMs*** issued a check for payment of the invoiceLater that same night, ( December 29, at 7:36pm) I received a text message from ms*** (I have attached a printed copy of this letter) You will see that Ms*** asks me to destroy a check that she believed was sent in error and would cause an issue if I were to cash the checkAt her request the check was destroyed and never depositedMs*** contacted me again via text on January 18, at 12:37pm to request snow removal services at her property at ** *** *** in ***At no time did she reference the disputed amount or claim over paymentI have since been in contact with Ms*** several times to discuss her claimI have asked her numerous times to provide me with documentation showing payment To date she has been unable to produce any proof of paymentI have told Ms*** that I would be happy to provide a refund if it is determined that an overpayment was madeIn all my years in business I have never had a customer complaint regarding my billing or invoice practicesI have provided Ms*** with detailed invoices showing services rendered and amounts paidHer alleged over payment was never processed by meI pride myself on being an honest, hardworking individual and I employ only individuals who share my work ethic
