dispute the validity of his false accusations. Doctors in our office spend an hour with each patient in the initial appointment and 20-30 minutes in subsequent follow up appointments. Patients are not forced to take [redacted] They enroll into that program willingly. Additionally, patients are not forced to have genetic testing. Our patients understand that we do not bill for that procedure, we simply collect the sample. Billing disputes for that procedure are between the patient and the genetic testing company. Regarding the billing portion of his complaint, his outstanding balance with our office is for services rendered. Partially from a visit where he misrepresented his insurance status, paid a copay and later the claim was processed as ineffective coverage. Then he continued to come, receive treatment, and not pay for services in full. At the end of his treatment, he had a balance remaining on the account. Per our office policy, all balances need to be paid within 90 days of discontinuing care. The office sent 4 statements regarding the balance, the last of which was returned to us by the postal service. Our patients sign documentation, at their first appointment, stating that they understand our policies, procedures and fees associated with treatment at this clinic. We have offered an affordable payment arrangement for him and it was not accepted. The amount offered, $25/month would have allowed him to pay off his balance over the course of one year. This is a very reasonable request, and much more accommodating than many other medical offices. He is welcome to contact the office for further discussion regarding his balance, if needed. We have tried to reach him and he has not returned our calls or responded to letters. Every effort is made, by our staff, to explain charges and make payment arrangements that are affordable for our patients. I am confident that we provided quality care, as we do for all of our patients. We wish him the best in his recovery.
