[redacted] placed an order for two horse barns on 9-13-16. My father, Randy L[redacted] started site preparation in early October 2016 approximately 10-11-16 even after the original spot for site prep was moved to a much more difficult area due to the request by customer, [redacted]....

Machines and modified were brought in and the site was shot and leveled with a laser transit. We received the barns on our lot on 10/21/16 but the customer was not ready to receive them yet so we stored them on the lot until advised by customer on 11-2-16 that she wanted us to bring both barns down, which we did all in one day on 11-18-16 per the customers request. Customer did advise that somethings needed to be addressed at the site because of all of the Snow and bad weather due to the time of year and how long the customer put off delivery so my father, Randy repeatedly drove the hour drive to make Sure all was prepared and tamped down properly before the barns were delivered two weeks later. The stones they refer to were placed under the building to prop it up enough because it would have to be moved again to bring in the third building that she wanted and we were unable to get to because of the landowners request that the ground was notable to be driven on and/or they were unavailable to be there. They have been very dishonest through this entire process and called and verbally abused and swore at my father over the phone so he decided it best not to come back out to move a third barn from the customers father's house as previously discussed because we never received payment for it and with their current harassing over the phone he assumed we never would. My father, who is recently deceased, was a very honest, hard working man who before starting this business was a mason doing all kinds of prep work for houses, garages and more for over 35 years without complaint. In his absence my husband, Brian M[redacted] met with the customer's fiancé to try to appease them. The customer originally stated that she had to pay someone to build a retaining wall, which she intended to build from the very beginning but her fiancé, who was never involved in the process of any of this until May 2017, advised Brian that he was the one who built the retaining wall not a hired contractor. They also stated to Brian that they were quoted $4000 not $5000 to bring the site to their specifications. Brian did the math to bring a machine out, pay an operator, stone and labor, his calculations came to $2650 on the high end. The site has obviously been ill maintained since the barns were placed. He did recommend that they put in a French drain in front of building that had settled to avoid any water issues but Brian refused to do the work because of the obvious deception by the customer which continues to esculate. We now believe they are just trying to take advantage of a small family owned business who used to do business on a handshake. Unfortunately we can no longer believe such people exist and will have to betterprotect ourselves from this in the future.Thank you for your consideration. Michelle M
