I was very impressed with this company. [redacted] was great. He gave constant updates as my car was being repaired.

We brought our car to LaMettry's, at the suggestion of our insurance company, after we were rear-ended on the interstate. We didn't want it repaired; we just needed a quote for insurance purposes. The car is 12-years-old, has 174,000+ miles, and only worth $500 on the high end. Our insurance company was aware of these facts. We brought the car in and my husband was handed paperwork, which he was told needed to be signed for them (LaMettry's), before they would look at the car. We mistakenly did not read the paperwork and trusted the attendant by taking his word that it was only permitting them to look at the car. The attendant told us that they would contact us the next day to inform us as to what the issues were with the car. We left thinking we would have a quote the next day. Late the next day, my husband received a text stating that the car was repaired and in paint. We were shocked to say the least; we thought we were only getting a quote and that we hadn't approved any repairs. We later learned that the paperwork we signed wasn’t what was described to us and was actually authorizing repairs, as well as authorizing payment from the insurance company to LaMettry’s. We were dumbfounded. We didn’t know what to do. LaMettry’s texted us the next day and told us the car was ready to be picked up. We spoke to a manager when we picked the car up. He told us that he would have the general manager contact us about our concerns. We have yet to be contacted and due to being misled by LaMettry’s before, have no belief we will ever be contacted.

electronic assignment from [redacted] to process the claim. We hope Mr. [redacted] is now taken care of to his satisfaction.
Thank You.

LaMettry's Collision, Eden Prairie, MN performed repairs on Ms. [redacted]'s vehicle in 2010. The quarter panel was repaired upon approval from Allstate Ins who paid the claim. Ms. [redacted] has been in communication with [redacted],...

President of Operations for LaMettry's Collision, Inc.,about the concerns of wrinkles in the quarter panel. Mr. [redacted] believes the vehicle has incurred another loss since LaMettry's repaired the vehicle in 2010. There is evidence of another loss to the same quarter panel LaMettry's repaired (fractured paint, impact dents to quarter panel and lower rocker panel). Mr [redacted] asked Ms. [redacted] to get a second opinion (if there was evidence of another loss) from an independent source (body shop, insurance appraiser, etc.). LaMettry's has not received a legitimate second opinion from an independent source from Ms. [redacted] to substantiate her claims of poor workmanship vs. a possible second loss to the quarter panel area where work was performed by LaMettry's. LaMettry's Collision is confident the area of concerns on the quarter panel are not a result of LaMettry's Collision's faulty workmanship, thus no warranty repair has been offered to Ms. [redacted] at this time.

I hit a dear and my car's hood and front bumper was damaged. I took my car to LaMettry in Richfield location since it was basically next to where I work after I claimed to my insurance. I got the first estimate from an employee. I asked him whether they can do anything to reduce my deductible since I don't have much money. He told me the company policy doesn't allow things like that. I told him I understood.
At my work, my co-worker told me that these guys have a way to wipe out the deductible and told me to ask him again. He told me that the worst thing these guys would tell you was no. So, I did. I asked him about wiping out the deductible because of my finance situation on Monday. He told me he would talk to GM and see what they could do for me. When I was dropping off my car Tuesday morning, he told me they took care of the deductible and I didn't have to worry about it. I thanked him. After few texts going back and forth about progress, I was told to come and pick up my car. When I went to pick up my car on Wed., I was told to pay the deductible. I told the receptionist, the guy (I am not going to name the person) should have taken care of the deductible. The employee came and he denied even having conversation about wiping off my deductible. I was dumbfounded. I asked him whether he got in trouble because of me. He told me again he had no conversation like that with me and demanded me to pay the deductible. I wanted to talk to GM to explain what happened to me. I didn't think he believed my story from beginning. I told these guys it wan't about money. It was about my integrity. They made me a liar. Made me like I was making all these stories just so not to pay the money. They kept telling me that they didn't think I was lying. I told them if I wasn't lying, then, the other guy was lying. The conversation was going nowhere. I paid the bill and demanded to talk to the upper management. I wanted to let the boss know what happened to me and see whether this was isolated incident or some kinds of dirty practices these guys are doing behind the management.
I talked to the president of operation and explained the whole thing again. I told him a person told a lie would have to lie about lie since the person wouldn't remember what he/she lied about. My statement would be same even if I was asked a million times.
Again, I told him it wasn't about money. It was about my integrity offended. I had to file this to find out others also reported or experienced what I have experienced. If there are others reported or experienced like this, then, Revdex.com should investigate LaMettry's business practice.

Mr. [redacted]'s 2009 Chevrolet Suburban was repaired at our Maplewood, MN location.  State Farm insurance covered the claim on the left quarter panel damage.  LaMettry's discovered rust issues on the left quarter panel during repairs.  State Farm insurance was called by LaMettry's to...

inspect the rust damage.  State Farm reinspector reviewed the rust damage and denied covering costs of rust repairs (citing prior damage to loss).  LaMettry's repaired the rust areas on the left quarter panel as best we could, but explained to Mr. [redacted] that future rust issues were not covered under warranty by either LaMettry's Collision, Inc. or State Farm Insurance.  In the collision repair industry, no shop warranties repairs on rusted sheet metal.  LaMettry's also performed repair work, that Mr. [redacted] paid for out of his own pocket, on the Right Front Fender of the 2009 Chevrolet Suburban.  There was also rust damage on the right front fender.  LaMettry's explained to Mr. [redacted] that, although we do our very best, we could not warranty rust repairs to the right front fender.  This information was clearly documents on the approved repair order (estimate) agreed upon by Mr. [redacted] on line 6 ("RT Fender Suburban 3 dents - sand blast.  No Warranty on rust repair).  Mr. [redacted] was informed the issues with rust repairs, and approved the work order knowing rust may resurface in the future.
LaMettry's Collision, Inc. practiced full disclosure on our policy of no warranty for rust repairs to Mr. [redacted].  It is unfortunate the rust returned within 1 year, but it is not uncommon.
