Customer has been with us for winters, every year it is a different story, years ago we replaced a horn,worked fine for over a year, I go to the boat and still works fine, customer brought boat in fall of 2016, customer said engine hatch not working, with customer there, showed him hatch lift
laying in Bilge, how can I have anything to do with this, even told customer,not my problem,two years ago customer said my men broke a piece on his dash,a switch panel, this panel is known to crack on all boats of this type, I did not break it but out of good faith,spent to buy him a new one,not exactly to same color because that is not available any more, now a year later he dose not like the color, go figure, customer complains about his arch light and antenna not hooked up, we'll there is a good reason for this,customer snuck down and took boat without checking in office,the boat was not commissioned yet, sent my service mgr and a mechanic down to his boat last Thursday June *** to connect one wire for antenna and lift the light up to the horizontal position,minutes later all better,At this time ,customer was down at boat and was very nice, my men asked him if their was anything more we could do and he said everything else worked fine,men said Thankyou and left his boat, new buyer was also their and said boat looks great, this case is over in my mind, thank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved I would like the delivery date to be posted on file here. I spoke to the dealership I was given a delivery date via phone for may ** 2017I am happy with that date , I would just like to see it posted as part of the dealership response to complaint ID# [redacted] 

Tried to reach out to customer for last two days with no response, we will either refund 350.00 or supply customer with new stainless prop, we need to know the size, we take full responsibility for an honest mistake my salesman made by misrepresenting the wrong hours on motor, the hour meter on boat showed 30 hours and the compression check turned out great, we service over 2000 boats a year and have master mechanics on staff which are factory certified, not many service dealers and claim that,we donot hook up a motor to the computer unless their is a reason of a faulty running engine, I stand by my service manager on that, let's get the customer satisfied so he can enjoy his motor, sorry for any inconviences

The boat financing was completed on 4/**. customer is aware boat is blocked by other boats in back of yard, weather has hampered our delivery schedule and he was told one to three weeks from 4/**The boat is being rigged at this time and we still have two more weeks approx.his first payment is...

not due till latter may, he will get his boat in the next two weeks, customers have to understand that their is a lot of prep work involved and it is not like driving a car off the lot.

and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.  Please note:  Coast Roofing response is just wrong.  He refunded my deposit, so I am done.  He tried to raise the price on me (again!), and I refused to accept it.  He offered me my deposit back.  Then he didn't send it.  I finally told his employee that I had all the paperwork ready to go to the contractor state license board if he didn't have the check to me by 9am the next day.  He did.  The check was good.  I'm done.  Thank you for your assistance.  For the record, I did not request extra work, and I was only rude, etc because he did not return my calls, raised prices once, then tried to raise prices again.  Not a very nice person to deal with over the phone.  But again, I'm done.  Thank you.  

We did sell this customer the motor in good faith, The customer has been in contact with us and we are trying to correct the problem. The boat which we took the motor off of showed 30 hours on the hour meter, we did not see any reason to look further because engine showed no problems with running, I...

offered the customer a full refund plus shipping cost , The offer still stands, My sales person whom sold the motor to the customer was also under the assumption the motor only had 30 hours on her also, The average life period of an outboard motor is 2000 hours, 40 etrra hours is small in comparison to the length of the outboards life, The customer knows he got a great deal with 30 hours or 70 hours, My sales person told the customer we are looking for a prop or we will refund him $200.00 dollars for the difference which we feel is more than fair, or a full refund,I do appreciate the sale of this motor and I will do,within my means, to correct the misunderstanding,Tell us why here...
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

If I had known the motor had 70 hours on it I would have negotiated a better price or purchased elsewhere.  The fact is I was described a motor with 30 hours on it not 70.  This motor has more than 300 start cycles, certainly not a 30 hour motor.  You are an Evinrude dealer and it would have taken you five minutes to check the engine computer to verify the hours.  Nobody in the industry relies on a boats hour meter when they can check the engines ECM.  As I told the owner, and the salesman, the motor has been installed and I am out both time and money in scheduling the delivery, paying for it, picking up the motor, and having my mechanic install it on my boat.  A return would be silly at this junction as you would not reimburse me for all of my expenses which would exceed what I am asking for in compensation.  A new stainless prop would satisfy me but not just $200.00.  The fact is you dropped the ball and presented me with a bill of goods less than described.  If you want me to be satisfied you can send me a new stainless prop or the equivalent in cash/check.  $200.00 is not going to cut it. 
In order for the to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and once the new prop is delivered the matter will be resolved.  I have emailed them the prop specifications yesterday 4-**-2016.

What this customer wrote and stated is COMPELTLY FALSE AND UNTRUE.we told customer she needed a COMPLETE new roof and she said she did not have the money for a complete new roof and we told her we could attempt to fix roof with a 1 year guarantee from leakage and a ONE  SERVICE RETURN ONLY...

 clearly written on contract.we could not completely guarantee roof due to its poor expected the roof did leak again and we returned and did another repair and gave the customer their ONE SERVICE RETURN ONLY as written in contract.coast roofing  has performed ALL work per contract.if customer wants a estimate to do more repair work or a complete new roof she can call back coast roofing or another company and we will give her a estimate.
