Complaint[redacted] under Lampe Management has raised my rent from $185 to $740. They provided me with a 30 day notice. They have been harassing me.I have been harassed by the employees at [redacted] located at [redacted] for several months. They have been taking pictures of cars at my unit ([redacted]), following me ([redacted]), and circling my unit in efforts to intimidate me ([redacted] 9/6/14 circled my unit 3 times withing 5 mins looking into my unit). I received a notice dated 9/17/14 that my rate has been increased from $185 to $740 effective 11/1/14. We have tried to comply to the changes that have been put in place such as keeping our door open at all times and leaving the premises by 10pm. The reason for the rate increase has not been disclosed to me. Nor has anything that we may be doing wrong. I have even had one of the employees ([redacted]) jump out of her truck and make a gester as if she was going to inflict bodily harm. They have an employee here that walks around with a gun even though weapons are not suppose to be on the premises by employees or tenants. When I rented the space I explained the nature of my business , in which I do have a legal LLC filed with the state of NC. I was approved by the leasing manager ([redacted]) to stay here until 11pm. I was also told by here that if I was inside the gate by 11pm that I could stay after 11pm to complete my projects. I have put $1000s of work into this space some of which was advised by the leasing manager. I have been renting this unit for 2 years and never had a problem until the harassment started a few months ago. I have been using this facility for about 7 years for the same nature of business. At that time another gentleman was renting the unit and once he left I took over the space. I have not been told by any manager that the business that I operate in this unit cannot be operated in this unit. I have explained to the area manager ([redacted]) the nature of my business and at the time of our conversation he did not explain to me that there was anything wrong with me operating my business here nor did state there was anything wrong. He did state that he was going to talk to the employee that insinuated by non-verbal communication that she was going to fight me. He stated that her actions were not professional. I have suffered from loss in my business as well personal stress. Desired SettlementI would like for my rent to be reduced to a reasonable rate or compensation for relocation.Business Response At [redacted] we rent storage space as dead storage and to some small businesses that store inventory or equipment. We are not set up for businesses that have customers or employees conducting business inside of the property. We do not have an issue with Ms. [redacted] business using our unit. We are having problems with the large number of her friends on the property. Her friends are on the property when she is not present and after hours. All tenants or friends must vacate the property no later than 9 pm. We can allow Ms. [redacted] to keep her unit at her current rate if she can conduct her business during regular gate hours and not give out her gate code & unit key for others to use when she is not present.
