Lamplighter Motor Inn Reviews (1)

On March 10, 2014 I went to the Lamplighter Motor Inn to get a room for the night (I stayed in Room 113) After spending the night there I awoke with several red bruises (rashes) on my skin in several places and extremely itchy. I went to the doctor and was told that I had been bitten by bed bugs.Desired SettlementI am requesting that the Lamplighter Motor Inn refund me of all of my money that I spent to get the room and I am also requesting that they reimburse me for being inconvenienced in the first place after staying there for the co-pay that I had to pay in order to go to the doctor and money that I had to pay to purchase medication after getting bitten by bed bugs. I paid 53.00 for the room, 35.00 for my co-pay and 10.00 for prescribed medication at [redacted] Business Response To [redacted]We apologize that the customer, [redacted], alleges that our business was the cause for her alleged bed bites. We deny any liability for the allegations for three reasons:1.Customer never complained of any issues during the after her stay.2. We have not received such complaints from any customer before or after her stay from that room.3. We have checked the validity of that statement by inspected the room and have found no evidence of bed bugs. When customer, [redacted], did check in, we do have her on record stating that hte room was expensive for her. Perhaps this is the true reason for her allegations.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Sincerely,[redacted]Manager of Lamplighter Motor InnConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The response from the business is NOT accepted for the following reasons:1) The manager ([redacted]) is a LIAR! The fact that the manager stated that I said that the room was "too expensive" is a blatant lie. I mean really? You have got to be kidding me. Who does that? LOL I'd love to see what proof he has where I "allegedly" said the room was too expensive. There is no proof because [redacted] is lying! $53.00 dollars is chump change compaired to other motels/hotels that I could have easily went to not far from that area. Hypothetically speaking if a customer does ever complain on the price of a room at your motel it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that your rooms beds are infested with bed bugs. It's an insult to my intellegence and actually laughable that the manager would make up a lie like that. Believe me if I was making an allegation and was trying to gain something from it I surely wouldn't have picked their seedy run down motel. It definately would be a higher upscale hotel/motel. It would have been an upgrade not a down grade such as the Lamplighter Motor Inn. Being honest the way the motel looks it wasn't even worth the $53.00 that I did spend on it. 2) In reference to the apology from the manager ([redacted]) he can keep it as it is not accepted. As for the manager stating they inspected the room and found no evidence of bed bugs, I'm sure you didn't. I'm pretty sure that since my complaint was received that they have thoroughly cleansed that room out by now. Honestly, who do you think that you are fooling? My complaint is not an "alleged" complaint about being bitten by bed bugs it's a FACT and my medical records can prove it! Not only was I bitten by them but my boyfriend as well. However, he was not mentioned in my initial complaint reason being is because he did not seek medical attention but, I did. Perhaps your true reason of lying Mr. [redacted] is because your trying to cover yourself with a lie and know that your roach infested motel IS in fact infested with bed bugs. You can deny it all you want...Truth hurts doesn't it? Don't act like you haven't heard complaints about your motel before as complaints on your business is all on the internet. Do your research like did. After my complaint was made I received a phone call from Lamplighter Motor Inn however, when I answered the phone the person didn't say anything so I hung up. I assume that you got my phone number from my initial complaint to the Revdex.com. And please don't lie and try to say no one called me as I can pull my cell phone records and prove it. 3) It's true I did not make a complaint with the business. I chose to first seek medical attention from my doctor and secondly, I contacted the Revdex.com. Thirdly, my next stop will be to report Lamplighter Motor Inn to the Health Department and to Code Inforcement for health violations. Mr. [redacted] please check your e-mail that I sent you concerning the various complaints from consumers concerning the Lamplighter Motor Inn. I'm sure that you will find it as interesting reading and see that this problem has long existed.Thanking you in advance with your attention to this matter. Final Business Response I sincerely apologize that you believe that I was lying. The room that you stated I does not have any infestation of bed bugs. I still stand by my previous statements. However, out of goodwill, we will honor your request and give you the refund that you exactly requested of $98($53 for room+$35 for copay+$10 for medication). We will be sending the total check to you address stated in this letter.Thank you[redacted]Manager of Lamplighter Motor Inn
