We really apologize for this error. It seems a "series of unfortunate events" lead to us dropping the ball for this customer. We have issued a full refund of $108.00 plus $29.88 for her shipping.Sorry again for the mix up and this should resolve the issue.ThanksLampsUSA

I contacted Lampsusa via email about CA compliance laws, the first thing you see after accessing their website--THAT indicating to me that they're probably good resource for that subject. I'd had prior email questions referencing the compliance concerns. They weren't addressed. So I re-emailed, civilly asking Lamps to do so--thought maybe I hadn't been clear. Here was the female respondents following answer:

You can contact Target's customer service about their lamp. We aren't Target and can't answer questions about their products.

LampsUSA"
After such unsuccessful back & forth, the above struck me as curt & unprofessional. When I called the number on their site, I actually got the email respondent, a female. When I shared what a turn-off that was to a would-be customer, she was just as verbally snippy. In this tone she tried to justify [paraphrasing] they were very busy and didn't have time to focus on my issue.
She had no apologies for these slights, even after I said she'd lost an originally potential customer. She refused to give her name or connect me with a supervisor.

Review: As a new customer, purchased 4 lamps, all exactly the same for our medical practice. The lamps arrived on time, they were unboxed, the boxes put in the office dumpster, and then they were put together. Once they were put together, using the BULBS that came with the lamps, it was clear that LAMP SHADE was sooooo THIN, that the bulbs provided with the lamp shown thru and "burned my eyes". It was if you were looking at light bulbs in a lamp with NO SHADE. No one in my office wants them, as ... THEY BURN YOUR EYES. An hour or two after receipt, we went back out to the dumpster to collect the boxes to return them, and the dumpster had been emptied. No return boxes. Now ... I GET IT .. returns state that you need to have "ORIGINAL" Boxes to return ....... but come on .... these are Faulty, Inferior LAMPS. I said we would pack them up nicely, and would be happy for simply a credit and I would buy 4 more LAMPS as I need them for my office. NOPE. They said we should "Donate them for a tax credit". Customer Service is an important part of any business. We could have worked out a win win situation here ... I'm a reasonable person ... NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT LampsUSA.Desired Settlement: CREDIT for Replacement.
