Review: today I drop off my brother in jfk to lan chile and he loss his flight because the manager he close other the windows the flight was at 8pm in my brother arrive at 7pm and the manager [redacted] he was very rude he close the counter and tranfer the passenger to the next flight to lima and stgo my brother name is [redacted] and his wife [redacted] , plus he paid extra money is not fair ,im flighting next week I hope I waiting this issue happen to me ,,The manager he was in duty is not the prepared for nothing if you check the flight see how many seet was availble because he left a lot pasenger the same situacion ...

Dear Mr. [redacted],

We sincerely regret any inconvenience encountered upon trying to check in on your recent trip with our company. We further investigated with our personnel at the airport and they indicated that passengers were advised at the counter the appropriate gate number for departure.

Although we regret that you were not able to be on time at the gate for boarding procedure by the time you arrived to the gate the flight was already closed. We wish to inform you that passengers must be present for check-in at least 180 minutes prior to the schedule departure time on international flights and flights are closed for economy class 60 minutes prior departure. Due to this situation you were checked on our next flight departing, The particular tariff you purchased was not available, so you had to pay the difference for the corresponding economy class available on the aircraft, which corresponds to the difference charged.

We regret our reply cannot be more favorable but hope to have been successful explaining our position.
