[redacted]: This letter acknowledges receipt of your letter dated October 28, 2015, and the attached complaint. We have reviewed the allegations in the complaint and compared them to our records. The account provided by the Complainant is not supported by our records. Upon our receipt of the report of the accident, Lancer began its investigation of the incident, which included speaking with the parties involved, obtaining a copy of the police report and inspecting the claimant's vehicle. After receiving the police report we inspected the claimant's vehicle which we found to be a 15 year old rebuilt salvage vehicle. Following the inspection Lancer communicated its settlement offer to the claimant which was based on the value of her vehicle; a copy of the inspection report and estimate were forwarded to the claimant. The last communication that Lancer received was an email from the claimant's husband wherein he rejected our settlement offer and alleged that additional personal property was damaged in the accident that was not previously disclosed. In this communication it was represented that the claimant would be bringing a small claims action to recover their damages. Based on the ab ve.
