Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: The invoices are not accurate, nor were any but the original quote and final invoice given to meThe original bid INCLUDED a porchNo porch was built, meaning the $is way over the price for the laundry room floorThe original quote I got did include tile (see my previous attachment)And yes, I do have monetary investment in the original depositJust because the money came from the relocation company does not mean I do notThat money was part of a negotiation and not the concern of this contractorJust because he "thinks" I do not have monetary investment in the original bid does not mean he can overchargeI don't understand how long we will go back and forth in this "he said, she said"Please tell me how we can get this resolvedI strongly feel I am only being overcharged because I am single, young woman and he's trying to take advantage of a situation
Sincerely,

First of all, the original bid was on October 28, 2017 in the amount of 3,936.57. This estimate is provided for your viewing. The Home owner asked us to revise the estimate to only the floor and floor joist. Upon the revision, we submitted an estimate for 1,7540.00 as the home owner has mentioned....

Keep in mind this estimate is for the existing floor removal and reconstruction of the new floor. ALSO, keep in mind the home owner had just purchased this home and has no idea if previous freezing problem exited or not. Copper pipes will freeze and bust. Our company replaced the copper lines with pex lines which may still freeze, but will not bust. So the freezing lines have nothing to do with installation. The tile the home owner purchased was extremely labor intensive and required a specific installation process. We followed the installation process just as suggested by the company. Keep in mind, the tile installation was not part of the revised bid. The tile the home owner claims is cracking, is due to the home owner not following the directions on the installation process. After laying the tile, there was suppose to be a 24 hour period where there was no traffic on the tile. upon our return to seal the tile, there was pipe dope that had dripped on the tile from the heat and air service technician who walked on the floor and the home owner removed the basement access door themselves prior to the 24 hour period. We then sealed the tile according to the manufactures specifications and the home owner was advised to not have foot traffic on the tile for 72 hours. Upon our return, there we already washer and dryers placed in the laundry. We have no control over the home owner after we leave, but in their best interest, they should have followed the instructions we gave them per the manufacturers recommendations for the tile she chose. The home owner has no monetary investment in this project as the original down payment was presented to us by the sellers of the home.
