Land Sisters sent me an offer for my property in ***. Offer was over $6000. When I called them and accepted their offer, All of the sudden their offer changed to just over $3000. If you make an offer, you should be held to it. I dont know what kind of scam they are running trying to take advantage of *** Land owners. Maybe buying for China? Either way, the public should be warned of this fraudulent activity.
To whom it may concern: Land sisters is a property investment company that uses direct mail offers to purchase property. We use assessor data along with the current market conditions to formulate an offer amount. Once a seller inquires about the letter or decides to accept is when we begin our diligence and NOT before which at times reveals problematic properties. We do however indicate in our letter that we will need to verify certain criteria for our property needs. The offer of $6275.62 to Mr. was one of these situations. We made our original offer and he accepted so we began our initial diligence of the property to find it was primarily wetlands. These types of properties just do not meet our acquisition criteria so I reached out to Mr. via text message to inform him that we would only be interested in the property at $3137.81 as our new offer. This was just an offer to purchase if he was interested and not an attempt to scam or do anything underhanded. I strictly offered on the property what we were willing to pay and it was now up to him to move forward. We pride ourselves on being a small family business that operates in an honest and ethical manner with no ill intent ever intended however we do recognize that at times others place a higher value on their assets than we so it does cause some to be upset with us. I am rejecting this response because:
This company knows what they are going to offer from the start. Then once you contact them back, they offer you half. They know what you paid. the property is assessed at over 20k. The fact that you are going around doing this to people in a state which you dont even live should Concern everybody. The fact that you wasted our time, made an offer and then came back with a insulting offer (half) should mean something. Does the State have its own Lawyers or do I need to bring in my own? This company should be stopped.
