Landmark Apartment Trust, Inc Reviews (2)

I have been a resident at Eagle Landing since 2011, (it has also been Hidden Oaks and Landmark at Eagle Landing) I have consistently been proactive in regards to lease renewal, my current lease terminates on February 29th. There was no difference with the way I handled lease renewal this year, I coordinating a meeting with [redacted], the "manager," to discuss this matter for December 16. The meeting was productive, [redacted] presented me with an option for a 10 month lease for $745, he stated that he would check with corporate for a better rate; I've been extremely patient with a number of maintenance and valet trash issues on top of being a loyal resident for five years. Today I was notified the best option would be a 12 month lease for $775 monthly. Due to the holiday, I did not reach back out to [redacted] until the first week of January, and I have been emailing and calling since then, only for no response, at all. It was not until I went to the office today that I was given a higher quote for a longer lease, to top it off, [redacted] did not even have the professional decency to come out and speak with me. It seems [redacted] is notorious for not returning calls because [redacted] stated to me "[redacted] didn't call you back did he? I texted him the message as soon as we got off the phone." That was in reference to a call I made last week. What kind of establishments puts their residents in a living situation bind like this? If anything, this in addition to the other issues I have dealt with shows how much the management cares about residents.Desired SettlementI deserve a rental offer that is better to the initial discussion. The manager was negligent in returning any of my calls and emails for two months, fully aware of the upcoming expiration of my lease. Refusing to communicate with a resident is ridiculous, and not even having the professional courtesy to have anyone on staff follow-up with me is even more ridiculous. I guess it is not so hard to become a manager after all!Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]-Property ManagerContact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@bhmanagement.comDear [redacted], We received your registered complaint with the Revdex.com. The written lease terms were sent well in advance of 60 days stating the rate that was available. Making the attempt to speak with a Regional Manager was our attempt to show our appreciation for your long tenure with the property. I am glad that the lease term has been signed and this matter is resolved. Per the Regional Manager a drafted lease of 10 months at $745 has been committed into our system. The lease rate stated above includes valet trash service. If at anytime you need immediate assistance please email me directly as this is the best means of communication.

Nobody has ever come to my apartment to take care of the mold problem since my first report to Chelsea Commons more than 10 days ago. I reported the mold problem at my earliest convenience to the leasing office (Chelsea Commons at Landmark in Carrboro) in the early afternoon on Aug 6, 2016. Later, I wrote three emails to Chelsea Commons about how urgent it is to resolve the issue on Aug 8, 9 and 10 respectively, and submitted an emergency maintenance request ticket on their website on August 9. I went to the office to report the problem for a second and a third time on August 9 and 13 but no one has ever given me any response to the problems I'm facing, no action has been taken. My problems are totally ignored by Chelsea Commons while I'm getting sicker in the past few days living in the worsening living condition, and my clothes, bags, food etc. keep being contaminated by mold.Desired SettlementEnd my lease due to Chelsea Commons' irresponsibility and inability to take care of the issue, return my deposit, compensate me for relocation, clothes cleaning and any loss due to the mold issue.
