Singed a contract for Insurance work with LandMark Building & Framing on August 16th and paid $by credit card for hardwoodIt was signed by Mr Brendin LangeHe applied for town permit on Sep 25th I paid him $9,to start the workThey did some work in Oct/Nov and collected additional $20,
Its 5th Dec 2014, LandMark Building & Framing folks came in with wrong woodThey were kind enough to take it back
Jan 16th No hardwood, they have not done any work since ThanksgivingNor is the hardwood ordered, Now they want ton of money more to compete the work

The snow removal service that I had contracted with Landmark Building & Framing never showed up for the storm. I contacted them via phone and email. Dan [redacted] called me and started screaming at me telling me he had 140 accounts and I was the only one complaining. However I told him they never showed up, he continued yelling at me. I asked if he could tell me when I should expect his snow removal team to show up. Finally he said 1AM a full 24hrs after the storm. At around 10PM the snow removal team (plow only w/1 person) showed up and said he could not remove the snow beceause it was too high, further confirming they never showed up. Dan [redacted] lies and yells, provides terrible customer service and I will not be using his team again due to the events.

Brendin Lange is not a licensed contractor, despite his website claims otherwise. A quick search of license status on 7/7/2015 results:

Further, I will be engaging Mr. Lange in Small Claims court to reclaim some $7,000 for work that was not done to contract specifications, and left abandoned and incomplete.This is a wholly unreliable contractor in all respects.

Complaint[redacted] from Landmark took a deposit of $ [redacted] from me on [redacted] and was supposed to start work on [redacted] He told me 5 times he was [redacted] has taken a deposit of $ [redacted] from me and never performed on the contract. He was supposed to start a framing job on [redacted] and has never showed up. He will no longer respond to emails or return phone calls. I asked for my money back and he said he was sending a cashiers check but never did. He cashed my check at a check cashing store which is odd in and of itself. On 4/X XXXX I entered into a contract with Landmark & gave a [redacted] deposit and when the work started I was to give him [redacted] for supplies (as it turned I received [redacted] from the insurance co. and that all monies I received would go directly to him. He was to deal with the insurance co. directly. He was to start the repairs on [redacted] then [redacted] and then [redacted] On [redacted] 3 workers arrived at about 1pm and stayed four hours. Mr. [redacted] arrived at around 3:30pm and requested the remainder of the deposit. Mr [redacted] said that the job would be completed in two weeks. On 6/1 Mr [redacted] arrived at 11am with one worker and stayed 2 hours at which he said that he ran out of insulation He also ran out of trash bags so I gave him 3. I received on phone calls stating that he would be here the next day & the next ect. Then that was the end of communication from Mr [redacted] & he wouldn't return and calls or e-mails.Desired SettlementI would like a refund and wish I could get monies for pain & suffering. I am a senior and not in very good health. I believe I was taken advantage of. The work that his workers did do they left a big mess in my driveway, with blueboard, insulation, debries, which with all the rain we got has just escalated the problem. My back yard is also filled with wallboard which has melted and is just a complete mess..

I signed a contract with [redacted] to build my garage for [redacted] I paid [redacted] so far. he took my money and left. I hired [redacted] (The owner ofLANDMARK BUILDING AND FRAMING and also the owner of Lange Design and Development ) to build my two car garage at my house on [redacted] in [redacted] I signed the contract with [redacted] on [redacted] 2015, The total cost of the garage is [redacted] took [redacted] on that day as a down payment, and did not start working on the garage until [redacted] 2015. Brendan took from me so far [redacted] on [redacted] as Down Payment[redacted] on [redacted] 2015 as second payment when he started first day digging foundation.[redacted] on [redacted] 2015 When finished concrete walls.[redacted] told me that he need the last payment of [redacted] to buy materials. After taking the last payment [redacted] disappeared. He did not answer or return calls and texts on phone for one week at a time. every week he told me that he will start next week. [redacted] Came one month later on [redacted] 2015 and build three walls from studs 2*6 and install the wrong 3\8" thin plywood on them ( plywood will need to be taken out ), Then he disappeared for good . I have been trying to call, text leave voice massages but he does not return a call or a text, he did not call me to this day. Landmark BF has failed to perform on two contracts on my home. On one, they attempted to overcharge for services not performed to the tune of over $10,000. On another, they installed 1/4" wood soffit versus the 3/4" soffit material specified in the contract. In both cases, they failed to respond in a professional manner to resolve the issues, ultimately leading to litigation. Contracts prepared by this company do not meet the standards of MGL c. 142, and are deceptive. This company employs predatory billing practices and shoddy workmanship.
