My wife and I met Andy and Eva A[redacted] and The [redacted] in 2015 and hired them to treat our front and back lawn actually plant the Bermuda seed fertilize for an intial cost of approximately $500.00.The lawn came out great but unfortunately in 2016 we did have issues with our sprinkler system and the progress from our lawn didn't quite all grow back after a year since it goes dorment we had lots of bare spots. We contacted them multiple times before they sent one of there contractors out.We agreed on a price thinking $300 approx and asked them to get our lawn back up and running like it was before. We contacted them early spoke with Andy and he said need time for the weather to warm up before the Bermuda kicks in.There contractor finally showed up June 8th after 1st contacting them May 20th was have suppose to show up June 3rd.He replaced our controller for our sprinklers did not set up timer and spread a little fertilizer. We asked for a receipt and till this day never received one there billing person quit.I forwarded Eva many pictures of our lawn and showed them there was no progress.I finally got ahold of Eva after multiple tries and she came out here put some fungicide and Bermuda seed down her contactor was suppose to do this weeks earlier this was another cost to us of another $250 approx.Never got a receipt for that one either.Eva said give it 4 weeks she would do a follow up we have contacted her on multiple times since then and she was actually in [redacted] less then 5 miles away they operate out of [redacted] but didn't have time to stop by said she would call when she got home.I text her August 11th no reply wife called her again on August 19th said she would call back no reply. That is my main complaint them not following up on there work not returning calls texts no receipts we have had to contact them 3 and 4imes before they return our calls texts and they said they would come out 1 day and call and reschedule.I pay for a service I expect good customer service.I would not recommend Landscape Doctors. They charged us a high price for our control box could have bought at [redacted] much cheaper. There customer service was terrible.

I was given a quote for artificial turf at the Phoenix Home and Garden Show by the owner's husband. He wrote the quote on one of his cards. Since he seemed on the up and up, we had them come out to give a complete estimate. At this time the owner came out herself. She gave us an estimate of $1865 dollars for the dog run that we were putting on the side of our yard. We also asked for an estimate to remove a tree stump in our front yard. At that time she quoted me $200 to remove the stump by using a stump grinder. She also claimed that they may be able to remove the stump for a lower cost by cutting it with the chainsaw and told us that she would send out her "man" to look at it. After the guy came out and looked at the tree, he told us that Eva would call us back . Eva told us that the tree could not be cut by a chainsaw and that we would have to use the stump grinder. She then told us it would cost $300 to have the tree removed by grinding. When I mentioned that she had told me earlier a quote of $200 for that same job, she told me that it would cost them $100 to rent the stump grinder so therefore it would be $300 instead of $200. We decided to remove the stump ourselves, as the price kept jumping. Stupidly we decided to go ahead and have the dog run done. There was a product called zeo-fill that they were going to have to put on top of the turf to make sure that it was pet friendly when it was finished. Eva's husband had quoted us five dollars a bag for this product. Now all of a sudden it was $20 a bag. When I mentioned it to her she told me oh no that it cost them $15 a bag and there was no way they could have done that for that price. So, they did not honor their own estimate. I told her that I have the card that had the estimate from her husband on it. In any case, long story short, the dog run was done and we agreed to pay their price of $1865. When they came to pick up the remainder of the money which should've been $865, they insisted that I now owe $200 more dollars because of tax. This was not explained to us in anyway. They did show me the small print on the contract, so yes they legally were covered, however, the fact that they chose not to tell us that in person made us wonder about their professionalism. We got lots of apologies, from Eva and her husband when I told them I would never recommend them for another job. However the fact still stands that every time we were given a quote, there was $100 or more added to the estimate and in the end we ended up paying more than we would have paid had we gone with another company. This company does not stand by their pricing so buyer beware!

Review: I'm disappointed in Landscape Doctors to the point of tears. Bear with my lengthy explanation. In late April, my husband attended a Phoenix home show, where he met the owners of Landscape Doctors. The couple spoke to my hubby about their artificial turf installation. They told him that their main business was landscaping and tree/plant care and their side business was installing artificial turf. They gave him a sample of the turf to bring home. We had not yet moved to the valley from the northeast, and we were looking to have pet turf installed in a section of our soon-to-be backyard in Goodyear. We chose artificial turf because most of the new backyard is comprised of brick and pebbles. Our two dogs have sensitive paw pads and we felt it unfair to have them walk on hot brick and rocks/pebbles to relieve themselves. Landscape Doctors (as well as multiple Phoenix natives, including our own realtor) said that the turf would be a great thing for our dogs. Landscape Doctors told my hubby that the pet turf was better than real grass/sod because it's easily cleaned, and we all know what dog urine does to real grass. I liked the look of the turf sample that my husband brought home from the Phoenix home show. We decided to hire Landscape Doctors to do the job and we wanted the turf installed prior to moving in to the Goodyear house. The wife of the couple-owned company went out to our empty Goodyear house, measured for the installation, texted my husband and supposedly watered the palm in our front yard. She said the palm was in great shape. She's supposedly a certified arborist so we were happy. Soon, someone from Landscape Doctors installed the turf. The husband from Landscape Doctors sent pics of the completed job to my hubby, and it looked good. We paid them the "home show discount" fee of $5 per square foot. (We later learned that pretty much ALL turf installers in the area charge $5 per square foot). A couple weeks later, I moved into our Goodyear home while my hubby stayed back east to tie up loose ends before joining me. First, I noticed that the beautiful land - seen through our wrought iron fence (and is a nature preserve) - had been LITTERED by whoever installed the turf. He'd thrown a huge cardboard roll (which the turf comes on) back there. He also threw chunks of the brick walkway (which he tore up to install the turf). There are also pieces of artificial turf strewn back there, as well as piles of the sand that is used beneath the turf. It looks like hell, but there is no way to remove it unless someone attempts to climb over the high fence. Also, the installer threw away an entire trash can full of scraps of turf into OUR city garbage can! We didn't even have trash removal service yet, but the previous homeowners had left their garbage cans behind. We were unable to use our trash can at first once we started garbage service because the entire can was already full of turf scraps! I could NOT believe the amount of junk that was simply discarded in the protected land behind our fence. It's an eyesore and it was disgraceful behavior on the part of the installer. Here's the worst part: My one dog went onto the turf and began to wince and do a little dance. He quickly ran off of the turf and onto the pebbles to relieve himself. I took off my shoes and stood on the turf. IT BURNED MY FEET! During the day, the turf is way hotter than the brick, cement and pebbles! Perhaps I should've known that, but in the northeast where I'm from, there is no artificial turf. Everyone has grass lawns. Remember, many Phoenix natives had told us the "pet turf" would be great for our dogs. Then my husband arrived in Goodyear with our other dog. The dog went onto the turf and yelped, ran away from it and went to the pebbles. Lastly, there is a juvenile mesquite tree in the backyard in the area where the turf was installed. The tree began losing its leaves once I arrived in Goodyear. Now, it's almost bald and oozing sap. I did research on the mesquite, the palm in my front yard (which now also looks like hell), and the fern tree out back. I couldn't find a reason for the mesquite's issues, as it's hearty and good for desert landscapes. Last week, I attended another home show. I was hoping Landscape Doctors would be there so I could confront them. They weren't. I went to a U of AZ info booth & spoke to a certified arborist who is a also a Master Gardener. We talked at length about the dying mesquite. She said artificial turf should NEVER be planted near/around a tree; it's simply too hot (no kidding!) and could suffocate and overheat the tree. She thinks the turf is killing the tree. She said NO REPUTABLE ARBORIST (as Landscape Doctors claim to be) would EVER install turf near a tree! I started crying, and she hugged me. We were duped by this company. Now we're out $2000, have a dying tree, and have "pet turf" in our yard that our dogs avoid like the plague.Desired Settlement: First, I would Landscape Doctors to REMOVE the littered items of trash from the preserved land behind our backyard. The trash was carelessly discarded on the ground by someone from Landscape Doctors who installed the turf. The items include: a cardboard roll on which artificial turf comes, remnants of artificial turf, pieces of brick and cement torn from our property, and piles of sand which is used beneath the artificial turf when it's installed. I would also like the dead mesquite tree removed from our property at the expense of Landscape Doctors. A second certified arborist came to my house today to provide diagnoses and a free estimate. He, too, claimed Landscape Doctors' installation of the artificial turf directly led to the demise of the mesquite tree. Furthermore, since there will be a huge HOLE in the turf once the mesquite is cut down, I would like Landscape Doctors to provide another tree, free of charge, that will be able to withstand the choking and overheating that the turf can cause. The certified arborist with whom I spoke today said that a protective box around a new tree would be helpful in protecting it from the turf. If Landscape Doctors is unable or unwilling to do the above, I want complete removal of the turf and a refund of the $2000 that I spent on it. The turf is useless and harmful and Landscape Doctors completely misrepresented its purpose, use and benefit.
