Landscape Systems, Inc. Reviews (1)

Review: [redacted] of Landscape Systems, Inc. was engaged with a $20,000 deposit on April 4, 2014 to replace the old pool liner and replace it with a new one, as well as to replace the pool heater and filter along with the installation of new pool plumbing. In order to remove the liner, the entire concrete pool patio and surrounding backyard patio was required to be removed and replaced with pavers forming a new pool surround and patio.

On April 18 and 19th the demolition was done and damage to the pool walls, top of the pool structure and fence occurred. This was due (according to [redacted] opinion) to the fact that a backhoe was used to perform the demo when a jackhammer to free the pool’s coping from the concrete should have been used. Additionally, the trenches that were dug around the pool to enable new plumbing to be added should have been dug with hand tools rather than a backhoe. Considering that the trenches were dug twice as wide and as deep as what was needed, there is an added expense of filling the trenches with gravel to avoid settling. The additional dirt and debris also needs to be removed from the property at additional cost. The use of the backhoe rendered the electrical system for the pool unusable and therefore required complete replacement by an [redacted] Pool Company.

The use of the backhoe caused damage to the pool walls because the skimmers being ripped out as well as several of the walls were bent due to pressure from the backhoe. The fence was also damaged due to the debris from the demo being flung against it. This is evidenced by broken fence slats.

The original estimate from [redacted], which was received around the same time as the Landscape Systems Proposal, was approximately $55,000, which was close to the Landscape Systems estimate. [redacted] Pool Company's estimate to complete is now approximately $75,000, indicating that additional work is required to fix the damage done by Landscape Systems demolition.

Because of him leaving the pool and yard in complete shambles for 3 weeks, the dishonesty regarding the permits and the outright lies about the panels he was terminated.

· I have had two other pool companies over to look at what he did. Following are comments from [redacted] who also gave me an estimate at the time [redacted] did:

o It will take more money than the original proposal because he damaged the skimmers by ripping them out with a backhoe;

o He dug trenches with the backhoe that now have to be filled with gravel because filling with dirt will result in settling;

o He bent the walls of the pool with the backhoe that will also result in additional cost to repair;
