Mr. [redacted] ordered two pallets of fescue sod on June 2, 2014, from our [redacted] location. The fescue sod was delivered on June 4, 2014 to his home address.  Because we were only made aware of the complaint ten days ago I am unable to comment on the problem Mr. [redacted] had with the Landscapers Supply employees not returning his phone calls. I do apologize for the poor follow up and will continue to work with our employees on improving our customer service. As to the problem he had with his sod, on June 18, 2014, Mr. [redacted] did talk with [redacted] at the [redacted] location. Sod is a perishable item and is guarantee fresh from the Super Sod farm on the day it is delivered. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  However, just to be clear, when something is sold "by the yard" it is a volume measurement and has...

nothing to do with the weight or size of the rock.  Much like a gallon of milk and gas are the same volume not weight.  So the argument that the scoop will yield different amounts because of a particular rock's weight or size is very wrong.  I appreciate your efforts in this matter and can only hope Landscaper Supply will use this information to correct it's business practices and is as grateful for your involvement as I am.

I am sorry that Mr. [redacted] is unhappy with our service. The only way we sell bulk product is by the scoop. We do so because even if the bucket on the loader measures a specific amount, every product loads differently because of its weight and size. We are trying to be honest when we sell it by the scoop, but it does get confusing. We will be glad to refund Mr. [redacted] $34.98 and apologize for his trouble.     Sincerely,         [redacted] Operations Manager
