It was explained to me that although a financial agreement was signed that stated no refunds, given the situation the clinic would discuss if a partial refund was possible.  After that, the clinic decided to keep the approximately $7000 for services not rendered and refer to the financial agreement. It is unfortunate that the business has chosen to reject a partial refund rather than consider the case specifically and the very unfortunate occurrences that caused the procedure to be canceled. I reject the notion that the almost $7000 was used by the clinic in preparation for the procedure. The procedure was canceled almost immediately and the business has chosen to pocket the money and referred to the financial agreement as their reason to keep all of the money.  It shows a lack of compassion for patients in a business where one would hope compassion is abundant.Sincerely,[redacted]

For reasons of HIPPAA, we are unable to provide specific information regarding any particular cycle.  Patients are counseled in advance of their payment the guidelines related to refunds of services.   Patients sign financial agreements indicating that fees rendered for treatments are non-refundable once paid.  Patients are informed that their funds will be used to perform work leading up to a procedure and also for equipment ordered specifically for their procedure.  In the event that a procedure is cancelled by the patient or the patient is no longer able to undergo the procedure, we cannot refund fees for costs that we have incurred.

rendered and it was not my decision to not go through with the transfer.  I request a full or partial refund because it is not possible for me to undergo the procedure.  At this point the fertility clinic wishes to keep the money and never perform the procedure due to legal consent issues.  Sincerely,[redacted]
