Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/19) */
Chris from Laneys originally went to the call in regards to "getting the water turned on" at the lake cabinUpon arrival it was noted that the plumbing was removed in a manner which made it impossible to have all parts and materials to
reinstallHe also explained to the homeowner that there was some work which needed to be done to expose the plumbing and gave him the opportunity to do the work himself to save a little moneyHe then scheduled with the homeowner to install the plumbing which consisted of a new piping system and a well pump at a later dateChris also helped him out by referring him to supplying is own pump to save some cashOn the second trip Chris went to the residence to install the pump and plumbing to it but there wasn't anyone there to let them inMr*** later explained that over the weekend he called our on call service and cancelled the scheduled date which we don't have any record ofThe third trip the technician arrive to find Tom had attempted to install the plumbing himself and again to fix the problem would have to run to the whole sale house to get partsHe then proceeded to install the plumbing in a manner which meets our standards of quality We received a phone call from Tom on 6/stating that "Chris was the nicest tech he has ever had working on his stuff" and "really liked working with him"
To address the not having parts issue, we simply cannot keep every single part the plumbing industry has on our vehicles and sometimes need to scope the project out prior to the work being completedChris' original trip was to do just that however, between the first trip and the third trip the homeowner had cleared the area to expose the plumbing so there could be a better understanding of the work needing to be performedChris stated to me that the manner in which Tom installed a portion of the plumbing simply wouldn't work that way and he remedied the issue
As far as the invoice total goes, the bill had already been reduced from hours labor to hoursThere was a $diagnostic fee (which was waived) for the first tripI have to pay my technician to drive and sit in the driveway waiting for an appointment which unknown to us was cancelled (not billed for) and then the install timeOur staff at Laneys attempted numerous times to resolve this issue but always got a voicemailOur records show a return voicemail on our answering service one time stating he isn't going to pay the balance due but only what he feels the amount of time it should have taken to install a pump which he supplied and piping to it which he attempted to installWe then received a complaint from the Revdex.com regarding the issue In closing, we here at Laneys would like to put this issue behind us and part ways with Mr*** in the understanding that we won't ever do business together againI contacted Tom and agreed to reducing the bill to $which is what he requested
